One of the shows available as a part of the subscription is Lilith Fair. The show is July 8. Tix are $38.50 for Reserved and $22.50 for lawn. Suffice it to say, I prolly won't go (both price and venue SUCK!!!!). The other BIG bummer about this subscription thing is that Season subscribers get first shot at tickets and THEN the remaining ones go on sale to the public. That's the news, so now you know... First, a friend of mine that lives far away that I haven't talked to in a long long time finally got in contact with me. It's been real nice hearing from her again! We now talk almost everyday through e-mail. =) Second, it's the weekend and after a pretty easy week of school, I have very little homework over the weekend, which I haven't had in a long time. Sure is nice to not have so much pressure on me this weekend. =) Third, Shaq is coming back to the Lakers today! Whohoo! Finally! We miss you Shaq! =) The Lakers were outstanding without him, and now with him back, the Lakers are going to prove that they're the team of the future! =) Fourth, No Doubt, my favorite band, is on Leno tonight. I'm going to be recording it this time. I missed their appearance on the Letterman show the last time. Fifth, I received the Jewelstock tapes today (thanks Heather Nelson!). I've only listened to the first 10 minutes of it. I'll be enjoying the rest later tonight. =) And last, I finally saw the picture of Jewel on YM magazine. Earlier this week, our history class was in the library doing some research and I saw this girl in my class that was reading a YM magazine. It was the April edition (w/o Jewel) but I didn't know whether it was the April or the May issue, so I decided to ask her if I could see it. Of course I felt a little odd, being a guy and asking a girl if I could see her YM magazine. =P And my friends started wondering too. But oh well... It turned out that it was the wrong issue and I embarrassed myself unnecessarily. Well, at least that cancelled out the April edition. Then today in my english class, this girl next to me also had a YM magazine. I asked her which edition it was and she said it was the May edition. Then, I started getting a little excited and asked her to turn to page 88 and sure enough, there was the Earth Angel herself! Wow! What a great picture!! =) I then asked her I could have the picture. At first, she was really amazed at how insistent I was on having that picture. Then, my guy friends started getting curious and looked at the picture. They didn't even know who she was! Jeez... I asked the girl if she wanted to make a deal with me. She said that I could have the picture if I gave her a piece of gum, but unfortunately, I didn't have one! =( Ahhh! Then, I offered to help her out on the upcoming vocabulary test and garuntee her an A. (Yeah, I know...bad me =P) But she said that she didn't want to cheat, so she just went ahead and gave me the picture, so I'm happy! =) I now have it on my folder so whenever school starts to depress me, I can just look at Jewel and I'll be happy again. =) Well, other than all those things, I'm also looking for a non-stressful weekend. =) Take care angels! These booklets contain poetry, writing, vintage & recent photos as well as info about the tour itself. Here's the instructions. Please follow them EXACTLY in order for this to be as easy as possible for us. Cost of the booklets are $10 in American dollars. (same as at the shows) All booklets will be sent 1st class unless you want & pay for Priority mail. All you need to do is send me a standard size manilla envelope (9.5" x 13") that is self adressed & with at least $1.50 in stamps already on it. (Note: DO NOT use postal meter postage! Only stamps. Add an extra 32 cent stamp for each extra booklet ordered up to 5 booklets.) Include $10 cash (NO CHECKS)or money order for each booklet ordered. We will simply put however many booklets you paid for in the envelope & send it back to you. Its that easy. If you want the booklets faster, you can send a Priority mailer with a $3 stamp on it instead of a manilla envelope with $1.50 on it. If you want more than 5 of them, please use a Priority mailer--I can fit up to ten of them in there. Send your self adressed pre-postaged 9.5" x 13" manilla envelope, with $10 cash (or a $10 money order made out to Alan Bershaw) for each booklet ordered to: Jewel Tour Book c/o MrBB P.O. Box 8147 Berlin,CT 06037-8147 Note: If you prefer to send a money order, thats OK. Just make sure its made out to me. (Do not make it out to Jewel or anyone else!). I will be sending Lenedra a bank check for all booklets ordered each month & if I cannot personally cash your money order, then I cannot send the booklet. These booklets are in limited quantities & will not be printed again. I'll keep the list posted if it looks like they'll sell out to prevent having to return any requests. Remember, Amyjo & I volunteered to do this because so many EDAs requested it. Follow the simple instructions. I know this will be painless if you do. :-) If this can be done without a lot of problems, We've agreed to set up a similar thing with the leftover tour t-shirts. Lets see how it goes. Then, she looked down and saw she was wearing a vest-top, blushed, and said "oops! I don't have any sleeves! I left them in the dressing room!" Blushed again, and went into a song. She's cool. For those who haven't heard her, do it soon. This woman just bleeds rhythm. Check her out as soon as possible.
