PLEASE read the instructions thoroughly before placing your order. Once again, Canadian & non-North American instructions will be posted soon. Here's updated USA instructions which I sincerely hope will make everyone more comfortable that was concerned about this. USA EDAs read on: Hi to all USA EDAs that would like to aquire Jewel's "Tiny Lights Tour '97" booklets that were sold during Jewel's recent tour. These booklets contain poetry, writing, vintage & recent photos as well as info about the tour itself. Here's the instructions. Please follow them EXACTLY in order for this to be as easy as possible for us. Cost of the booklets are $10 in American dollars. (same as at the shows) All booklets will be sent 1st class unless you want & pay for Priority mail. All you need to do is send me a standard size manilla envelope (9.5" x 13") that is self adressed & with at least $1.50 in stamps already on it. (Note: DO NOT use postal meter postage! Only stamps. Add an extra 32 cent stamp for each extra booklet ordered up to 5 booklets.) Include $10 cash (NO CHECKS) for each booklet ordered. We will simply put however many booklets you paid for in the envelope & send it back to you. Its that easy. If you want the booklets faster, you can send a Priority mailer with a $3 stamp on it instead of a manilla envelope with $1.50 on it. If you want more than 5 of them, please use a Priority mailer--I can fit up to ten of them in there. Send your self adressed pre-postaged 9.5" x 13" manilla envelope, with $10 cash (or a $10 money order made out to Alan Bershaw) for each booklet ordered to: Jewel Tour Book c/o MrBB P.O. Box 8147 Berlin,CT 06037-8147 Note: If you prefer to send a money order, thats OK. Just make sure its made out to me. (Do not make it out to Jewel or anyone else!). I will be sending Lenedra a check for all booklets ordered each month & if I cannot personally cash your money order then I cannot send the booklet. These booklets are in limited quantities & will not be printed again. I'll keep the list posted if it looks like they'll sell out to prevent having to return any requests. Remember, Amyjo & I volunteered to do this "totally non-profit" because so many EDAs requested it. Follow the simple instructions. I know this will be painless if you do. :-) If this can be done without a lot of problems, We've agreed to set up a similar thing with the leftover tour t-shirts. Lets see how it goes. It's all these abbreviations that got you mixed up! :) I always have to think twice about which one is which when I see them in abbreviated form. I hope this helps. However, one thing I have seen are a number of requests for copies of the RugBurns interview given at HDF on Sunday. I have already received many requests for the tapes, several from total strangers. Here are the facts, angels: I personally arranged a press interview with the RugBurns and their manager for the afternoon of the second LA show. It was wisely suggested that we videotape the interview to make it easier. When I arrived with two other folks at the agreed time, security was so anal that not only would they not let us in, they denied that any of the performers were even in the building. This went on for an hour and a half. When their manager and I finally hooked up, it was too close to show time to do the interview properly. However, I got a press/photographer pass to shoot the RugBurns set from in front of the stage, and part of Jewel's as well... (more on that in another post) On Sunday, Steve and Stinky arrived at HDF. After explaining to them why the interview didn't happen Thursday night, they graciously offered to do an interview IN FRONT OF THE HDF GUESTS, even offering to field questions from the group. The interview was exceptional, and ended with a Steve and Stinky comedy bit, then a mini-concert. And yes, it was videotaped for the purpose of being transcribed to a PRINT INTERVIEW. That means that permission was given to tape the performance for the sole narrow purpose of a press interview. No more, no less. Morally, ethically and legally, at this time they can be used for NOTHING ELSE, including a tape or video tree. This is a black and white issue. HOWEVER, I will try to obtain permission to use the footage for a possible tree this summer. This will need to be worked out between myself, the RugBurns and the folks who graciously volunteered to "capture" this event. In addition, no tree will be done until the fanzine issue is released (for obvious reasons). Please note that this is NOT to keep anything from the list. Quite frankly, the interview would most likely never occured had a formal request not been made and granted to our publication. The full content of the interview will be published in a FANZINE that has been in the works for almost a year at this point. More info on the 'zine will be made in another post tonight. So angels, hang tight and we all may very well be able to share the unique experience that Hot Dog Fest attendees were treated to on Sunday in the Morales' backyard. I personally want to see this treed. I'd appreciate any flames anyone feels necessary be sent to me directly (ie, sidepost me), and not to disrupt the list with cries of "unfair!", okay? We've been through this sort of thread before, and I'm sure most everyone would rather not go through it again. This Selena works at Musicland and if you saw one of my last posts you know how I was forced into indentured servitude to claim my Jewel Poster! Which I *did* finally get! I will post the top submissions to the list to narrow them down, because I don't know which ones are funny because I know nothing about Ms. McLachlan.
