The giving to a charity idea sounds good and she's certaintly been involved with surfrider and the MOM benefit. As a possible alternative to Alan having to deal with many checks, --with many organizations, if you "give in a person's name" (Jewel Kilcher) and you include her address (her PO box) the organization will send a card to the person saying that you have made a donation in her name. If she (or Lenedra) starts having many of these cards coming in all of a sudden from the same charity, they'll start wondering what's going on......then at her birthday someone can send a card saying they are all from EDA's....and no one will have to deal with collecting anything...I also just like the idea of her getting a card for each donation with the EDA's name....reminding her of how many of us are out here wishing her well. If there is interest in this idea I would be happy to get in touch with Surfrider-or whatever charity we decided on - and get details of "how to" and if they send acknowledgement cards to the person, then make a note for people to print out to make the donation and Jewel's address. Then EDA's can just sign it, write the check, address an envelope and send it out! I have all the Lillith Fair dates that Jewel is planning on participating in. Some venues are unconfirmed yet, so just the city is currently available. But all the shows are listed below. (As always, I cannot help with ticket information for ANY shows. Please check locally for that & inform the list if you find out information thats helpful.) Also, Lenedra mentioned that Jewel, in addition to all else thats been mentioned lately, will be part of "The Big Nickelodeon Show" on April 19th. I'm not sure if thats the actual name of the show or part of an all day thing. Check your local Nickelodeon TV listings to find out more (& post to the list if you do, please) I was also told that after the Lillith Fair dates, there are possible plans for Jewel to do another headline tour of approximately a dozen cities between August 26th to September 13th. Here's the Lillith Fair dates(below). I'm going to enter all this itinerary information into our database & I'll do one big post of the complete known future schedule in the next post so its easier to read & you'll all have it in one place....BRB Alan(MrBB) PS. To Jeff & Mike: The next post will be big & have all the upcoming dates in one large (too large?) post.
