A few people posted what they thought an EveryDay Angel was and I would like to do the same, although I'd like to point out that all people are different and all people are the same in certain respects so it is hard to pinpoint what an EDA is. Saying all that here goes: I think that when Jewel said 'we are everyday angels' she meant that we are all miracles. What I mean by this is that an angel in itself is a miracle, therefore we are everyday miracles, little miracles because we help and guide, care and love, and occasionally we flame a little with eachother which is good because if we were to be happy all the time we'd probably turn into a bunch of Richard Simmons or something and who can stand that guy for long. I don't know if it has already been answered, but I just found out the answer myself. John Lentz was a personal friend and fan of the Rugburns who was shot in May of 1994. Apperantly, the entire album "Taking the world by donkey" was dedicated in his memory. I hope this helps. She picked out Paul, one of my friends, and told him to come up and help her. We all ended up going up and giving her the roses personally. Paul held the lyrics from her CD for her so she could read...she would also occasionally look at our group, forgetting other lines. The Rugburns were as awsome as you all said they were. It was my first time seeing them perform, and to add to the sentiments of my fellow EDA, they were the best damn opening act I've ever seen! Jewel sang a few songs with her hands free & Steve on the guitar, so I saw what you guys were talking about from Lenno...I agree that her movements are a little pecilular, but she seemed to express herself a little more freely & with more emotion. I guess she wasn't being distracted by the guitar? But this is just my opinion, of course. For those EDA's who have seen her perform the same song with and w/o the guitar, what do you think? Is she more emotional without it? Jewel did Yodel at the end of the show (unsolicited I'm pretty sure) and the crowd LOVED it (me too:) She kept going faster and faster...was really neat. My one regret from the show was that we, as an audiance, were a little on the rowdy side, and must have been rather distracting. Made me a little envious of you Toronto ppl. I was sitting next to a girl that insisted in singing along to all of the POY songs, very loudly at that. So I moved, found a choice seat in about the 8th row, dead center :) Hehehe . . . but I'm bad like that;) No more singing though... Anyway, I won't take up any more space, but what a show!
