I was lucky and saved from going down a path leading to a living hell....:-( My family and friends were there when I really needed them...my story is long and quite meaning less now so I will just say that now after the fact...I live each day to the fullest. I think when I see the sky on a really nice day....wow!and take time to appreciate the beauty. After all how many times will you see that in your life... Same with a perfect sun set...how many times will you see it??? 10?20?50? who knows but it is a beauty that you have no control over so just enjoy....just like life... we have sooo little control we just have to try to relax a little and make the best of everything that comes our way. I feel like I am just blabbing on so I will quite now ... if I should say more just ask??? maybe I sould send this stuff threw a direct message???hmmmm oh well... :-) ~ smile it makes people wonder what ypu have been up to ~ ( Quick story that always brings a story to a face...I had to spend a week in the hospital once...my friend brought me McDonalds...I didn't drink the chocolate shake so my friend went to dump it down the toilet and clogged it...hmmmm.....oh doctor!!! hehe ...I think you get it.... ) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Mar 1997 00:35:31 -0500 From: Brian Day Subject: Leno!! Yes, our favorite small-town hero just finished up on Jay, and she was = all again stunning both musically and visually. Is it just me or does = she just get better every time? Those eyes, they just totally melt your = insides and totally get the point through to you, I don't know if I am = alone, but watching the expressions on her face as she pours her heart = into a song, just makes it so much more enjoyable to listen to her = music, and gives everything so much more meaning!!! Jewel had a very swank look in that clothing she was wearing. I like it. Ummm couple questions about the performance tho: 1. Was that Steve Poltz on guitar??(i can only guess it was, do to previous info about this appearence) 2. The drummer looked wicked familiar; who is he? And have we seen him from another band?? okbye, kung fu mike ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Mar 1997 00:42:08 -0500 (EST) From: Faith52596@aol.com Subject: JC: Jewel on Leno hi everyone! I just watched Jewel's performance on Leno and, despite the fact that she was on the same show as Howard Stern (who i personally don't like), her performance was really good. She sang YWMFM, but it was kind of a fast version, not as slow as the one on POY. I liked it, and i was glad to actually see her sing, since i'm deprived and i've only seen her once (at the Z100 Jingle Ball last December). Unfortunately, she went on kind of late, and Leno didn't really have time to talk with her. This is all she said, "Thank you." that's it! only two words. I was kind of dissapointed. oh well. she seemed pretty healthy to me, although she did look a little tired, so i guess she's feeling better. also, does anyone know where i can get some tapes of her concerts? i'll send the blanks and postage and everything. i e-mailed that gerritt's bootlegs website but i haven't had a reply so i was wondering if anyone else would be willing to make some copies for me. (this would be verymuch appreciated.) here's a little quote to cheer up anyone who's feeling sad: "better by far that you should forget and smile than remember and be sad." -Christina Rossetti love you all, karen ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Mar 1997 00:46:02 -0500 (EST) From: "Timothy Paul Mccormick Jr" Subject: Tonight Show Wow, she looked really intense on the show. She did a fantastic, as usual, performance. Only thing that could have made it better would be if Howard would have sang backup. Way too cool. Peace, Love, Soul. I just thought I would say Jewel was amazing on the Leno show tonight! I can't wait for tomorrow's concert! I wish they would have left more time for her. They spent a lot of time with Howard and who was that Washington dude. I wonder what Jay really thinks of Jewel. I hope he realizes that an angel has blessed his stage. HAve a great Night! Anyway, I think that treeing the Toronto show would be a great idea, since I'm sure most of us are REALLY jealous that we couldn't be there. (Especially me since I was at the infamous NYC show) Also, I saw the EDA image and I think it would be a great ideato make TShirts for us to wear to shows:o) I look forward to the next show so I could maybe meet some of my fellow angels. Well, bye for now, I go back to school on Sunday, so I finally get to see my boyfriend:o) Have a good weekend and wish me luck on a new trimester of new classes and and hope I make the deans list. Love and hugs, Kelly ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V2 #165 ***************************
