Tim Schoenberg wanted a 'confirm or debunk'....

San Diego's Star 100.7 said this morning that Jewel's April 4 show at the
UCSD Rimac Arena will go on sale Friday at noon.  If I heard correctly,
tickets are $20.50, $17.50 for UCSD students.

They are absolutely wonderful. You are immensely talented and I envy your

Does this make any other EDAs feel like launching some "Mission: 
Impossible" operation to rescue this poor, repressed angel?

Some others have already commented on this. I don't have anything
specific 
to say in response to them. For the most part they echo my concerns. So 
I'll just offer a few specific comments I have to say and restrain myself

from a 40 minute rant.

The more I read on this the more I feel the desire to do something.
Seeing 
as I'm using a @juno.com address I haven't been able to respond to this
the 
way I wish I could. 

If we are to make a stand on this issue it must be a unified, orderly,
and 
well-thought presentation that embraces more than it does alienates Mr. 
Adams. I'd like to specifically ask Igor, Selena, and Greg for their 
support. As parents, their opinions would have a much greater impact.
(Yes 
John, I know... but you've already been killfiled. :-b ) Of course, I
know 
they're not the only parents on this list, and I ask and encourage
everyone 
to help. But please, no mail bombs, no flooding their mailbox, nothing 
hostile (as much as we want to smack this guy over the head with a 
clue-by-four).

My proposal is a simple petition. Drafted and agreed to by the EDAs (and 
other interested parties), and signed. The petition should not be a
demand, 
but a request -- more of a suggestion than a mandate. And this should be 
arranged within one week to be timely about it. 

But whatever we do, we must remember that whatever we do represents this 
list, Jewel, and people in general.

pain??? SHEEP CLONES!!!! Someone stop me please...I think i'm about to
explode...This just put me WAY over the top...I'm having trouble with a

my Bio teacher is a complete B*itch...my spanish teeacher is getting a kick
out of making fun of me in front of the whole class....ahhh life sucks...

I just blasted "Race Car Driver" on my Karaoke Machine (that's the only
cassette player I have!  The one on my stereo is broken) and I realized
something.  I AM IN LOVE WITH JEWEL!  I like how much personality she has,
and how she makes such beautiful music with just a guitar and her voice.

I loved her before, of course, but now I think I LOVE her.  ;)  Welp, bye.

Hang in there.  You might not think so at times, but it'll pass.  Just do
the best you can.  It's all any of us can ever do.

As far as Charlie Rose is concerned, I think it was very poor form for
them not to at least acknowledge the program change.  I thought the
genetics talk was interesting, but bumping a scheduled, advertized guest
and not acknowledging the sudden change is really unprofessional.  Of
course it figures that the first time I have EVER heard about an
appearance by Jewel ahead of time, she gets bumped.  ^_^;  Oh well.



Well, so that concludes my first post on the list, 2 days after I figured
out I hadn't subscribed to it properly the first time!  ^_^;;;  Silly me.

The reason PBS sucks is that it thinks sheep are more interesting than a
certain intelligent, gifted, and goregeous artist named Jewel.  It's only
saving grace is Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, which is still cool 17 years after
I started watching it (Long live Fred!).  Then again, it probably only would
have been Jewel's public appearance clone (cuz she's got shows to do) that
is preprogrammed for the following:

Interviewer: So, Jewel...you're from Alaska?

Jewel Clone: Yes blah blah blah homestead.

Int: So, Jewel...I hear you lived in your car for awhile..what was that like?

Clone: (Says something about toilet paper, sexual harrassment, and killing
herself. Goes on to talk about hands manifesting thought and hearing silence
and what's the sound of one hand clapping)

Int:  Wow, Jewel, that was some crazy deep shit.  Will you yodel for us?

Clone: (Does her Swiss Miss thing)

Int:  Golly gosh that was amazing.  Well, I'm afraid that's all we have time
for tonight.  Tune in tomorrow night for the first in an 86 part series on
sheep cloning and why cloning humans should be banned with special guest
example, er..host, Richard Simmons.

You all know it would have gone that way, too.  I think it's high time for
Jewel to come up with some new material for her clone to say on these talk
shows...maybe it's just a glitch, like a sctratched record and that's why
the clone is always repeating itself.  At any rate, I hope she gets the darn
thing working again soon.

You wouldn't be the first to do that... I realized that awhile ago... I
told my boyfriend that if I were ever to be a lesbian and live with a
woman for the rest of my life and give up men wholly it would be for
Jewel... hehe... <not that it would really happen>...  She's definitely
the most beautiful and wonderful person that I've *never* met, inside
and out... :)
