I know the "Innocenc Mantained" part and one of the other line (can't remeber it tho) Can someone fill me in on the others? Thanx - -Ashe Mayfair PS: And if any one had the lyrics for the Letter to Cleo song on the Craft Soundtrack I need those too, thanx again ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Feb 1997 08:06:36 -0800 From: "Nick J. Mattos Jr." Subject: New Album: rather intriguing Idea... Okay, everyone's not very happy that the new album with have to wait untill 1998, but I had another idea: Have Jewel find some of her favorite poems (possibly from JewelStock or other places) and record her reading them onto a CD. I know, it sounds a bit unsellable, but possibly they could sell it like THE BEACON STREET COLLECTION, through a mail-order thing or something. Or release it, and risk having it be a bit unpopular. BTW, does anyone have any Jewel addresses besides the one in the CD? For example, a FYI one (FYI is a company that puts out these cool little newsletters for musicians and actors. I'm subscribed to FYIAM, or FYI Alanis Morissette, and I think it would be smashing if there could be a FYIJ for FYI JEWEL!) nick ************************************************************************ * Nick J. Just curious.... Think about this.................... Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. The names Lincoln and Kennedy each contain seven letters. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their husbands while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both were shot in the head. Here is an interesting one... Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's secretary was named Lincoln. Both were assassinaited by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerens. Both successors were named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy was born in 1939. Both assassins were know by their three names. Both names compromise fifteen letters. Booth ran from the theater and was caught in a warehouse. Oswald ran from a warehouse and was caught in a theater. To cap it all off, Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 9 Feb 1997 01:11:17 -0800 From: "Shaun" Subject: Re: NJC(or JC?): Jewel likes yellow! Well, lots of people complain that there are too many messages, so I thought I should warn everyone that there wasn't anything useful or informative in the post so they could avoid it if they were short on time or only looking for actual information about Jewel. I can't always tell what's JC and what's not, so when in doubt I just go with NJC. - --Shaun ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Feb 1997 01:38:23 -0800 (PST) From: Trent Smith Subject: NJC: Deana Carter Shaun (shaunrob@yellowhead16.net) recommended Deana Carter's cd "Did I Shave My Legs For This?" and, since I just got a used copy of this a couple weeks ago and have been enjoying it pretty well, I'll second that. It's definitely country-flavored, but not really "genre" country-music (particularly astute readers might remember that I caused a small controversy last fall regarding the difference between those two categories). Anyway, she's definitely no Jewel, but she does co-write most of her own material, she's got a pleasant easy-going style, and the cover of her cd has that freaky double-exposure thing.
