The actual agenda for the day is very loose. You may arrive at anytime throughout the day. You may even arrive the night before and stay until Sunday, or whatever you feel like doing. Saturday will be spent talking, reminiscing, and whatever else we feel like doing(this could include going out somewhere). You may bring Jewel tapes/ or videos to trade or listen to. You may also bring your guitars if you are moved to do so. We will have food and beverages here to suite your cravings. The only thing is that I do have a broomball game at 11:00 P.M.. Shelly is also going to my broomball game, because she IS the coach!!! :-) You are all welcome to come if you wish. At the ice rink where we play, there is a bar that has pool tables and food. Or you could check out the local bars, there is even a nice bar one block away from my house! There are several things that you could do, and my sister will be able to aid you better in that area! ;-) We do have very limited space at my house if you can't afford a hotel room, please let me know if this is the case. I already do have one person staying at my house. So let me say from personal expiriance that suicide is stupid. IF you committ suicide then you are just a selfish and foolish person. Next time any of you out there think about killing yourselfs then just think about how much it will >> I think you should re-phrase a few of those sentences to "So let me say from personal experience that I believe suicide is stupid. If you commit suicide then I believe your are a selfish and foolish person." What is right? What is wrong? No matter what anyone tells you (i.e. government, society). Right is what you believe is right. And wrong is what you believe is wrong. Depending on your beliefs of what is right and wrong can put you into a category that society deems insane or mentally unstable. Society did not write the law, society has conformed to what the government has said is law. I never have agreed with suicide being illegal; and the majority may agree. Therefore, how can it be for the people? That's a rhetorical question. Your arguments seem to be based on emotion from past experiences. To you it was a learned belief. But your beliefs are correct only to you. My beliefs are much different. I accept suicide, I do not want anyone I care about to commit suicide. I understand the feelings that exist at that time, as I have been there too. But I would never have the audacity say that suicide is stupid, or that person is selfish or foolish. I belief that anyone who says that someone who commits suicide is selfish is in their own right selfish. It was their body, they had the right to make the choice they did. When you said " Next time any of you out there think about killing yourselfs then just think about how much it will ..." I had to laugh. I'm sorry but I did. That's a guilt trip, and in a sense mental rape. You are condemning someone to live to satisfy "your" feelings. I don't think they need that, instead maybe a better idea would be to help them deal with their problems instead of adding another one. But you know the above is all my beliefs and probably is not yours. Tony T. (KRBE is a radio station here in Houston.) Here is a portion of an article from today's Houston Chronicle Zest section that will update that info (and explain what the Private Sessions are, for anyone who doesn't know). "KRBE calls them Private Sessions, MTV calls them Unplugged. Whatever their name, the beauty of streamlined acoustic shows lies in their directness and intimacy. Those qualities certainly show on this collection of 10 songs by five acts who played KRBE's Private Sessions series in recent months at the Art Institute of Houston. Such shows were performed in a small room holding about 50 people, mostly radio listeners who'd won tickets. The 40-minute CD is almost as exclusive, with only 2,500 copies printed. They're available at Mobile One locations for $7.99, with proceeds benefiting AIDS Foundation Houston. The concerts usually ran about 30 minutes, and KRBE made tapes of them, from which artists chose their best numbers. KRBE's programming department then picked from those tunes to set the CD's lineup. [Here is the JC:] Jewel and Sting were tardy in tabbing songs, and Donna Lewis just played recently, so they're not included. But all are expected to appear on a Volume 2 CD this spring, along with more music by some of the acts on the first one. In the meantime, KRBE is airing some Private Sessions performances, including songs not necessarily approved for the recording." The article went on to review the cuts on the CD. Just realize that this will mean that instead of the interface automatically handling things, I'll have to do yours by hand, greatly increasing the chances that something will go wrong. ;) Note that this is not meant as an introduction tape - it is meant for those who have purchased "Living with Ghosts" and will require a photocopy of the cover of LwG. It will be analog only and will require a 100 minute tape (too much good material ;) ). Metal (type IV) tapes will be accomodated if there is a sufficient supply of metal-willing branches and metal-requesting leafs. I can't remember, but I think I remember the gist of what she meant. That the way we interact with out environment and thus others [generally] requires the use of our hands. Any idea we have to present it to others and put it in a form that others understand and appreciate and learn from we do so by using our hands -- writing, painting, moulding, playing an instrument, typing on a keyboard, etc. Then there's the solipsist's view that thought creates reality.
