I think Pearl Jam's new music is crap, and that's why it is not as popular anymore. They really have gone downhill. The sad thing about Cobain's (gibberish) lyrics is that kids listen to it and think it's gospel. Apart from Pearl Jam none of those bands were ever popular. It seems to me that they were always obscure bands. Blind Melon did have a #1 hit but it was a pretty weak song. Spin Doctors? Yeah, i love their stuff. I still listen to Pocket Full of Kryptonite. I saw one of their new videos on MTV yesterday. >Same thing for music - some of the best bands never get any >radio play -do they lose out in the quality column? Not necessarily "art" but it can still be something cool to listen to. I like to watch Beavis and Butthead, but is it art? Do i care if it is "art"? NO. There are some things which should be looked at on their artistic merits and some things that are just there and hopefully you enjoy them. Take Care, Kerry ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Dec 1996 23:32:50 +0000 From: Andrew.Fu@randomc.com Subject: Voting/Discography Whoa.. How did Jewel get so many votes in these past few days? I hope no one voted 10 times or something... That's wouldn't be fair to Jewel or the other artists... Anyway, I started my Jewel page with all the Jewel CDs I have... (About 16 or so) I listed all the tracks, their duration, as well as color scans of the covers/leaflets. Sorry if it looks crappy... I know I'm missing other CDs/tape(s) so I could use anyone's help! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Dec 1996 23:33:49 +0000 From: Andrew.Fu@randomc.com Subject: my page! I am a new angel who has joined just in the last few weeks. As a newbie I felt that I needed to grow into my system enough to be able to be a part of the channel mail. But with christmas coming up I just wanted to say to everyone -- have a merry christmas, a happy and healthy new year, and peace and all that x-mas stuff. I have enjoyed the mail I have recieved (check it daily), and am glad that I can be even just a small part of the Jewel world. If anyone wishes to contact me personally my e-mail address is; nipper@snip.net. Look foreward to hearing from you and I hope Santa is good to all of you. ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V1 #879 ***************************
