No RaceCar Driver, Foolish Games, or Carnivore though, I heard. Actually Jewel DID play Foolish Games. She opened with Near You Always, one of my personal favorites, then went on to play YWMFM. Next, and definetely by surprise was Satellite. She gave it a small intro and then went on to play and sing it magnificently. In fact i think that was probably her best song that night. It sounded awesome. Here is when she played Foolish Games. Then, out of nowhere she played Love Me Just Leave Me Alone, maybe that's what someone thought was Fading Away. Last, but not least, she closed with WWSYS. It was a nice set, and sounded really good. katherine ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Dec 1996 00:35:05 -0500 (EST) From: Angel Subject: Re: Become What You Are On Fri, 6 Dec 1996, Heist wrote: > By any chance has anyone heard that this is the title of > Jewel's new album? > "Become What You Are" > It sounds like something she might say... > > C-ya > Jake > -- > http://faraday.clas.virginia.edu/~jrh4v > i don't know, but if so it sounds really cool. katherine ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Dec 1996 00:24:48 EST From: tiltedhalo@juno.com (Tom Harris) Subject: Re: Love at first sight. Okay, >maybe if I try really hard... eh...hmmph... nope. She's there for >good. Oh well, I > Hey Tony. There's only one way to handle your affliction. You must buy her CDs, you've already got PoY, good start.. now go find the Who Will Save Your Soul single and the You Were Meant for Me single. Also, be sure to get any of the promos you come across. You also have to listen to them constantly, day and night until you start singing the lyrics in your sleep. Try telling everyone you know about Jewel and how fabulous she is. And finally, this is the really important part, you -must- post to this list. And the more JC (that's "Jewel Content", as opposed to NJC, "No Jewel Content") the better. Some NJC is fine but too much could have negative results. Oh, and this stuff won't do anything to cure you of your obsession with Jewel, but you'll definitely learn to enjoy it better. :-b - ---pat "Don't forget to blah, blah, blah, And always get perfect moments caught between your teeth." -- Jewel ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Dec 1996 23:41:54 -0600 From: Ashe Mayfair Subject: Re: JC: new album title At 21:53 06/12/96 -0700, you wrote: >On Fri, 6 Dec 1996 18:22:18 -0600 (CST) >"Tim Gavin, The only true paranormal of the Fu Sheng beaver." > wrote: > >>"Become what you are"? >> >>Didn't Juliana Hatfield (a good artist, check her out) do something by >>that title? This reminds me though. Last year at the HFSmas they had live stuff going on on AOL. Chats with the artists, pictures, etc. So, on Sunday all you AOLers can go to keyword "WHFS" and see what's happenin' at the concert. (Or are they not doing that this year? I don't actually live near DC anymore so I don't really know.) - ---pat "This is a funny, insightful, witty quote." -- And this person said it ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 06 Dec 1996 22:00:18 -0800 From: Sinjin@ecn.com Subject: Jewel on Star benefit album Just thought I'd let you guys know that Jewel contributed "WWSYS" to a radio station's benefit album (KSTR, 92.3fm).
