Although having said that, the way that Professional Widow grates on your ears if you don't like it is pretty much the way a lot of the really loud, ugly stuff on the radio these days grates me ears so I don't see why it couldn't be played. (Not that I'm saying I think PW is ugly - just difficult). I only hear Tori played on one station here and they only play Cornflake Girl and occassionally SMells LIke Teen Sprirt and it's always followed by some really low comment about how kooky she is and how demented she is and a repetition of the story of her not wearing any underwear on stage. I did ring that particular station and request Jewel but they kinda went, 'yeah, sure, whatever.' and didn't play her. I was talking about the show ALL day.... I went to the store and bought the roses and everything, and Paul & I got in line for the concert... And then this guy who was doing a mailing list for the other guy at the concert told us that Patty cancelled the show. We went up and talked to management, and, lo and behold, it was true. They said they weren't supposed to give refunds, but they're giving us our money back anyway. I was so upset that when I got into my car and started it up, Patty was in my tape player- I immediately yelled "Shut the FUCK up !!!" and flipped it ( Sarah McLachlan was on the other side). I think I really scared Paul- I was so upset at first that I just stood there, sucking on my finger and staring into space so I wouldn't cry. Then, on the way home I passed everyone and yelled obscenities at the top of my lungs to try to calm down. Anyway, if anyone's going to see her in Kentucky, just tell her that she really upset some people up in Massachusetts and missed out on some really nice roses. Let me remind you and those who are new, of our drive to New Hampshire. Amy seemed really nice and kind when she took her mother to Jewelstock. And she is sweet and pretty too. Well, pretty... but I am starting to wonder about the sweet part. And she wiggles too much. The New Hampshire show had me at her mercy. First off, she conned me into driving throught the HOLLAND TUNNEL! She knew dam well that I didnt know what that meant. She purposely waited to give directions until it was too late for me to get off the right exits. You need to understand that I am from Lancaster County. When I agree to pick Amy up, I dont know that she means that I will be competing on the road with drivers from Hell. I am used to horse and buggies. My mother was Amish. Many of my relatives are Amish. We are kind. We smile. We are courteous. My good friend Rich Melko, was my copilot. He will confirm what I say. He was the calm one in the carnival like van ride to New Hampshire. He was my 2cnd set of eyes. When I told him to 'give other drivers the finger', he obliged. Ok, so they never saw him because his hand was on his lap... but he supported me all the way. But Amy wanted to break my spirit. She has to be stopped. I have remained silent while my name has been dragged through the mud. My reputation is shot. I know Sinjin will side with me. Mike has that phone book of Seans, so he aint worth a hoot.. but Rafa! Rafa will easily replace Mike. I'm sure I could convince at least one of the Tom's to trust in me. And Dean, after all, IS my first feather thinger holder. Now where am I headed with this little tirade? Well, I'm not sure. But yes, I would be honored to be the matron of honor at the wedding. This would accomplish a few things. One, it might encourage people to read. It would also allow us to get an idea of each others beliefs, thought processes and perhaps morality (all depending on the book we choose). The more I think about it the more I like this idea. If you're interested, send me (not the list... some people don't care) confirmation in your interest and a couple suggestions for the book you would like us to use.
