I did send for the Innerchange and Rare Angels but have not got them yet but hope they're as great as JS. On the NJC, I like it basically because although it's nice to know what's going on with Jewel, it'd be boring if in real life that was all you talked about, no other bands, no stories, no viewpoints on other issues, etc; so as long as it isn't these one line remarks from 30 different people it's ok by me, everyone on this list is very nice from what I read and some of the signatures are funny so I added my own, hope ya like it but not very original. Some personal info, I'm from New Richmond, WI, go to UW-Madison, am a sophomore, 19 yrs. old, and learning to play on guitar and use it as a writing tool, major undecided, well, thanks for reading if you did, sorry so long, but just wanted to de-lurk a little bit. The upshot of it was that the success and popularity that country has experienced in the past couple of years (twice as many country-format radio stations than any other format) has created a glut of semi-talented, glittery, gimmicky acts, who will soon be the first ones to feel the backlash away from country. Already, some new artists like Lari White and Lisa Brokop have been released by their labels, only months after being signed. Anyway, the article continued on that Nashville is looking for the next thing, which music industry exec's feel is going to be either more folk-rock oriented, or more of a fusion of pop-funk-country, like the group BR5-49. All in all, I thought it was a pretty accurate analysis of an industry in flux after a banner couple of years. Worth reading.
