On a very cool note, I've gotten to see Ani DiFranco and Rush(the band, silly!) about one week apart and am very pleased though at the same time very poor. Ah ha...so what you are getting at is that we newbies need some kind of statistic to make it official that we really do belong here? I'm touched, I really am. I've been subscribed to this list for, oh, I would say about three months now. Most of the time I'm just lurking, but every once in a while, I'll get in a participation frenzy. Looking at what I include in my posts objectively, I'd say that I don't stand out as an outcast. No, maybe I don't know everybody's first name just by their e-mail addresses, and no, I wasn't at JewelStock, and no, I'm nowhere near being a Veteran EDA, but I'm not going anywhere, whether the KKK-of-the-EDA wants my newbie-butt gone or not. I really cannot believe this! What do you people <> do when a new family moves in next door or one of your children move away for the first time? Do you stamp your foot down and demand the Earth stop rotating? Change happens, life moves on, and new people introduce themselves and try to be part of your mailing list. I love Jewel's music and would probably adore her as a person if I met her...is that enough pre-requisite for acceptance? I'm not gonna cry prejudice or anything because I really don't give a damn who doesn't want me or other newbies to be here. Even if I don't get the job, I'm still gonna do the work, so you better get used to me. It was filmed with the intent of possibly treeing it, however Jewel's managment has not yet released it to us due to "a project they have in mind", which is what we were told long ago. If it were to come out, it likely would not happen until after the new CD came out. (March 97 as of now) Assuming Jewel's management allows us to tree the 4th JewelStock AUDIO tape (with the band stuff), it would seem logical that they would allow a treed video WITH the band stuff too. (If we are allowed to tree the video at all) However, we know for a fact that the band stuff cannot possibly come out until after the new CD is released, therefore it makes sense to hold off a possible tree of the video until after that happens. (Other-wise we would be treeing the video in two stages, which is more of a logistical nightmare that treeing the audio in two stages) Mike C. ------------------------------ From: lforter@prairie.NoDak.edu (Cole) Date: Fri, 8 Nov 1996 07:29:11 -0600 Subject: Re: NJC RE: Snow anyone? The actual size of the tree will vary depending upon the amount of interest in the tree, One of the branches will be a Canadian branch. Another branch will handle Australian and other international requests.
