Pirates: These are illegally copied CD, vinyl or tape versions of ALREADY LEGITAMITELY RELEASED liscensed recordings which are sold (illegally). I woke up this morning in a midst of books that hadn't even been opened the night before...oops! :) I just got home from seeing my school's production of _Funny Girl_. It was excellent!!! My fellow speech team member and friend Ann had the lead! Saturday (nov 2) at 2 pm at border's books and records, Love Riot, an excellent band from baltimore with female vox who played here tonight, is playing a free show. check them out and tell them that i say hi! doldrums while we are talking about romeo and juliet. i read reviews in Time and Newsweek. Time panned it, the other sort of praised it. in the one that panned it, the reviewer made some mistakes that made me discredit his/her (i can't remember) review. there was something written at the beginning about claire danes searching for romeo in her dreams, by her swimming pool, underneath her balcony. the next sentence says "'wherefore art thou romeo?' she asks." you'd think that the writers of time would be smart enough to know (or at least research) the fact that "wherefore art thou" means "why are you", not "where are you". if the person had paid attention during 9th grade english when they studied the play or even during the movie when she says the line, they would have realized this. and they also have a picture of john leguizamo and a caption that just says "a soldier in the capulet family packs enough heat to set verona ablaze". newsweek has the same picture and actually id's the guy as john leguizamo, portraying juliet's cousin. stupid Time. here is a forward of something i sent to the list back in february (and again during the spring). i just think that some of the people who haven't seen it before will get a kick out of it. Paul "moon river wider than the sky" Kim Angels Angels are the guardians of hope and wonder, the keepers of magic and dreams. Angels watch over you wherever you go, keeping each day perfect and promising a bright new tomorrow. The motto of all angels is "it's a wonderful life." Wherever there is love, an angel is flying by. Angels help you carry the ball, carry a tune, carry your weight and carry on! Your guardian angel knows you inside and out and loves you just the way you are. Angels keep the world safe for hummingbirds and butterflies and rainbows in spring. Angels keep it simple and always travel light. Angels love whipering secrets and whistling in the dark. Whenever you hear music, an angel is speaking to you. Remember to leave space in your relationships so the angels have room to play. Your guardian angel helps you find a place when you feel there's no place to go. Keep a spare angel in your pocket. Angels carry high-beam lights to help you through the darkest hours. Whenever you feel lonely, a special angel drops in for tea. Angels know that love is the only four letter word. We are always "angels on call" for a friend. Everytime you hear a bell, another angel has earned its wings. Wngels are with you every step of the way and help you soar with amazing grace. After all, we are angels in training; all we have to do is spread our wings and fly. Ok so it's not really a poem. But it's nice and Jewel seems to have a fetish for angels:) She also seems to have a thing for the word "fragile," though that has nothing to do with this poem. My dad xeroxed the poem from a card he got from the Franciscan Mission Associates. It has a picture at the top of the angels from, I think, the sistine chapel. ok all done bye-bye:) hugs to all.
