Supposedly, some woman paid $300 for a cookie recipe...cause she thought it was really $3.00. Denied a refund, she was pissed so decided to distribute the recipe worldwide, for free. I've heard that it's actually a good recipe...but i doubt there's any truth to the story. NOW! Cookies on the World Wide Web! Look in your Netscape dir for a file called cookies or cookies.txt. My web access is somewhat limited (that is, none). Anyway, I want to know when Jewel recorded Just Passing Through on WHFS. It was the same weekend she was in town (Washington, DC) to play at the 9:30 Club sometime about a year ago; I think it was October. You see, it was while listening to JPT that I first heard "Angel Standing By" and thus became a life-long devoted Jewel fan(atic). And about four days afterwards, or about that time I can't remember exactly, I found Colin's web page and then subscribed to jewel@smoe.org. I'm so frustrated! I have no one I can talk to right now because all my good friends are so far away... so I'll just vent out to my beautiful EDAs :) Yesterday in school (which is a private Christian one) my friend was having an emotional breakdown in the bathroom so i went in to comfort her. My homeroom teacher comes in, dismisses me and talks to my friend, Laurel. Today I saw that same teacher talking to Laurel for a very long time. I asked Laurel what that was about and she says me. Apparently, my teacher told my best friend here not to ask advice from me or hang around me because I was too "worldly" and "unGodly". I'm not Christian but that doesn't mean I can't be with my Christian friends that I love and that love me! Ungodly? What's that supposed to mean? I'm a demonic spawn? This just makes me feel like a horrible person...:( Like I'm not good enough...Don't people think of others anymore? Well my friend Laurel is still my friend despite all that :) but later today in Bible class (by force, not choice) my teacher (different one) *completely* switched topics. We were talking about prayer and then today he decides to talk about the "worldly" and "unGodly" and how you're not to accept their culture or people! AAHHHHHHHHH! So teachers gossip to each other about students now? Are they all going to gang up on me? How can they be so mean to a 15 year old? So I'm going to tell my parents about it when I get home. I wonder if they'll withdrawl me......isn't that all so predjudiced? I was going to confront my homeroom teacher about it because you know, free speech rights and all but Christianity doesn't recognize "sinner's and worldly laws". So I guess they could just crucify me! I totally respect all religions, but how can I when they don't respect me? HELP!! But it turns out Jewel helped my day out a little :) I just thought of 'Pieces of You' and "do you hate her, cause she's pieces of you" and "as though being born were a sin" and it helped me feel like a person again. A human being. Any ideas of what I can do? Can a take them to court or something? Should I withdrawl? Should I confront my teacher? Why is this getting to me?
