I recently joined the list, but have kinda been too busy scanning the massive quantities of mail I'm getting from my two mailing lists (Other List: Deborah Gibson). Up until this point, I've been utterly confuzed as to the meaning of EDA... (Thanks Dennis!). Anyway... HI! I missed my first concert because of Fiona Apple. Okay, it's not really her fault, but the distributers who didn't send enough to all the stores deliberately did that to make me miss the concert. Some even swore over their dead bodies that they'd never play it. Jewel gained a tremendous moral victory when she was nominated for an MTV music award. MTV asked for her new video, "You Were Meant For Me". When they saw it, they said "Let's see what radio does with it"When When she gave it to radio they wanted to see what MTV would do with it. So again Jewel is stuck. She needs us to call our local radio stations to request "You Were Meant For Me" One more thing, when Mike suggested that we flood the VH1 web page with requests for "You Were Meant For Me" a lot of us disclosed ourselves as EDAs. We cannot do that. If people recognize us as a organization of Jewelfans conspiring to get her air time, they will never take us seriously. We must come off as a sample of the general public, make the commercial radio industry thing that the people as a whole want to hear "You Were Meant For Me" Atlanta: WNNX:(404)741-0997 WSTR:(404)741-9400 Baltimore: WGRX:(410)481-3764 Boston: WBCN:(617)536-8000 WBMX:(617)931-1234 WBOS:(617)931-1111 Buffalo: WMJQ:(716)644-9102 Charlotte: WEND:(704)570-1065 South Colorado: KKMG:(719)596-2442 The Peak:(719)473-7325 KVUU:(719)576-5888 Detroit: WHYT:(313)298-6600 89X:(313)298-7999 Houston: KRB:(713)266-1000 Ithica: WICB:(607)274-3217 Indianappolis: WTTS:1-800-923-9887 Las Vegas: LEDG:(702)798-1035 Miami: WHTI:(954)550-9100 WZTA:(800)749-9490 New Orleans: WTVC:(504)865-5885 New York: WHTZ:1-800-242-0100 WPLJ:(800)321-9755 Mix105:(212)704-1051 Philadelphia: Y100:1-800-232-1003 WDRE:(215)884-0373 Pittsburgh: WSHH:(412)531-9500 Rochester: WMAX:(716)222-1067 WNVE:(716)222-6378 WPXY:(716)222-9800 Sacramento: KYMX:(916)441-5282 San Diego: KUPR:(619)729-5945 Seattle: KTOZ:1-800-417-1047* Washington: WWDC:1-800-333-2101 WHFS:1-800-321-9437 *I know that radio station is in the state of Washington but I'm not certain that it's in the city of Seattle.
