I was a frequent visitor to a NIN news group about two years ago and one guy suggested a newsgroup bumpersticker. Well, it was a big hit with everyone and about 1000 were made and sent out to people for a small cost. I was wondering if the same could work for EDA. It's pretty simple really. Someone who has access to a printer (professional) that can print the bumperstickers takes charge of the task of making the stickers (finding out price, quantity, quality) and people who have graphics programs (i.e. PhotoShop, Canvas) create various designs and send them to someone with a webpage so they can be displayed for the rest of the list. Then everyone who intends to buy one (or anybody for that matter) can vote for their favorite one (or two, doesn't matter). Then the person with the printer gets them printed and sends them to all the happy EDAs. :-) When the NIN bumperstickers were printed, they were sold at cost plus shipping. Not much to ask if there are a lot printed. Now for the non-Jewel part... considering I don't know about the leagalities of printing an artist's name and flashing it to the world I would assume that the bstickers would only have reference to EDA's which would be enough for us to identify each other at concerts, JSII, and the like. I'm almost sure that even using the words "Every Day Angels" could have _some_ repercutions if any, but why would Jewel want us not to? Mike or Alan could even send a couple to Jewel. So, that my contribution for tonight. Who knows, bumperstickers for the list birthday party? JewelStock II? The possibilities are endless. l8r Chris "Eh?" Just woke up from a disturbin Jewel dream. A first with me. Quite frightening. In it I was kinda like a roadie for Jewel, helping set up stage, watch after things, and such as she played various bizarre venues along a tropical coast somewhere. Jewel would surf everyday, I would blade. Lenedra was a toatal sweetheart to me, answereing all my questions, showing me life, pointing out things in Jewel's music. But Jewel was MEAN to me. Always nasty and poking fun at me (she made fun of my ears!). Lenedra kept telling me to be patient, that Jewel was always like this at first, that she would come around and eventu- ally be one of my best friends. What a neat feeling > that was, plus I got everyone to listen at once. Cool! I feel it is my obligation to profess my Norwegian ancestry. My mother is 100% Norwegian, so that would make me (divide by zero...carry the one...) a whopping 50% Viking, baby. My great-grandparents, Irvin and Solveig Wamnes(now rowing the great big Viking ship in the clouds) came over from Norway sometime early this century. It seems there were a bunch of Norwegians on Long Island, because my grandma is also one generation removed from the Old Country. Tired of centuries of cold, there was a mass migration of Norwegians, in the early 70's, to Jensen Beach, Florida. The local elementary school has a giant viking statue in the courtyard! My grandparents neighbors names are Gerd and Leif Knudson. Every year was the annual Leif Erikson day celbration (the climax being a bunch of sweaty men in metal and fur in little viking ships rowing out and sailing back in a competition of wit and strength). I have eaten unthinkable things for breakfast. Although I don't really remember the Norwegian names a typical menu goes as follows: A healthily buttered piece of bread with a slice of hard-boiled egg and, the clincher, some pickled herring with onions. Refered to as goffelbeter if I remember correctly. Perhaps some yetoast (goats-milk cheese) sounds more appealing, or Locks and cream cheese, or some whole sardines (for breakfast!). > Concensus there is that she must have descende from a Viking queen.
