As far as names go, I've always been just plain old Aaron, or Aaron Matthew if Mom was mad at me ;) I suppose you could call me Squeek, but as Sinjin brought up, names can be very important to personality. I don't exactly know what a Squeek would be like. I've considered going by Matt or Matthew, that might be fun, and not too much of a stretch. Something has bothered me ever since JewelStock. It is from reading the reports back from the event. Due to not being able to find the original letter, I will do my best to restate what I think I remember reading. Do you all remember reading about Jewel and the yellow BMW Bike boyfriend. Did any of you remember reading that he drove up with Jewel on the bike and left it parked in a handicapped parking spot. Is this the same Jewel that wrote "Adrian". That Jewel would have never allowed for that kind of insensitive behavior. I didn't get to go to JewelStock. If I had gone, you would have heard me on the JS tapes. I would have been the one that walked up on to the stage and yelled out, "Does anyone know the jerk who owns the yellow BMW bike that is parked in the handicap zone? Please move it". And if it wasn't moved, you would see that glazed and crazed look in my eyes. First I would take a deep breath and compose myself. Then I would start thinking about a plan to apply some creative justice. The plan would have been to get some volunteer EDA's to help me move the bike. I would have moved it to a safe spot high on top of a tree, safely tied and secured and undamaged. Attached would be a note with my name and address so he would know where to send the thank you letter for saving him from a very expensive ticket and tow-away. During Erik's rehabilitation from a fractured neck, I got to learn a lot. At the rehab hosital I watched people with ABI(acquired brain injury), spinal cord damage and stroke survivors struggle. It makes me sick to see greedy people use up those few spots reserved for these people. One time I sat next to a car parked in a handicap zone that had ski racks on the top of the car. After about an hour of waiting, a physically challenged young man approached the car. I felt embarrassed for what I was thinking before seeing him. I asked him about the ski rack and he said it was for his skies. He told me about a place he goes that offers special instruction for the physically challanged. He also said he feels kind of guilty using the handicap stops because he is luckyer than most. He at least still had one good leg left. The other one was lost in a accident. Erik was also very lucky. His injury was the same as Christopher Reeves. He has rehabed to the point that he is now a good tennis player and a great golfer. He would also make a great frisbee team mate for Sinjin. Hey you with the yellow BMW bike. Watch out! Next time you may have a hard time finding your bike. Putting away my boxing gloves for now.
