I bought the Spew U sampler for Jewel (and Tori, too.) and kinda liked "Too Much Saturn" so I tracked down Francis Dunnery and liked his home page (surprisingly well done compared to a lot of other musical pages *coughdishwallacough*) Anyway, this is relevant to the discussion about the "other artists tree" being talked about here. It's an excellent idea for this exact reason. I think that we should stick to somewhat lesser-heard artists as opposed to someone you can hear a sample of by turning on the radio or MTV. She was on the cover of Request Magazine. It is put out by Sam Goody, and is given out free in their stores. In addition to the cover there is a 5 page article with 3 pictures. The article talks to Jewel and to Nedra, and describes Michel, and the band from the Bearsville shows. If you have a Sam Goody in your area go out and get this, it is the September issue.
