What do you guys think of that? I don't think Foolish Games will make a very good single, it is my most favorite song on POY but I cannot hear it on the radio for some reason, I think Morning Song (particularly) or Don't or Near You Always would make better singles off of POY. This time, let's hope there's some unreleased Bee Sides. >> This is GREAT news!! Finally, something other than WWSYS(Don't even think of flaming me, I'm NOT tired of the song, it's just THEY NEED TO PLAY SOMETHING ELSE OFF THE ALBUM!!!) I agree totally with your opinion of Foolish Games. I will have random access, maybe reading but no writing starting sometime within the next two weeks and would like to get these two sets of Jewel tapes before Im cut off, so if someone out there could send me info on either, hopefully both, I would be indebted to you for some time to come! thanks michael We sat there and I knew this was how it felt to be totally accepted. Anyways, after the song the DJ said something about not knowing much about Patty except for that she's been known to hang out in Nashville. So, I called and said thanks for playing her, and that I thought she was absolutely incredible. Even threw in a mention of JewelStock, which he evidently found unimpressive. But he asked me if that was her second or third album. I said that as far as I knew it was her debut- which has been confirmed by the Patty article a couple EDA issues ago. He said, "No. I know we've gotten atleast one other release from her a while ago that her manager sent to us." Does anyone have any info about this? Would love to get my hands on a rare release. A friend of mine at Atlantic was kind enough to send me 3 copies of Jewel's rare 1995 promo video of "You Were Meant For Me" that was supplied to VH1, but rarely shown. This is the Sean Penn directed video & is the fully electric mix of the song in Hi Fi Stereo. These are VH1 production copies & include the test tone & pattern, slate with credits, etc. I only need one copy for the archives, so here is what I'd like to do with the other two. One copy I'd like to give away to anyone who HAS the ability AND would be WILLING to make copies for other EDAs. So, you must be willing to copy it for those that supply a blank & return postage, etc. I'll cover postage to get it to you and you copy it for others as asked. It's less than 5 minutes long so it shouldn't be too difficult(other than many trips to the post office, probably). The other copy I would like to trade to any person who can supply me with this weeks MuchMusicUSA "Break This!" Jewel appearance in Hi Fi stereo on video(see recent Dan S post for run times--I don't have them). We dont get that network on our cable system & I'll need a good copy for the archives. I also need that 10 second "frisbee incident clip" shown 2 weeks ago on MTV's "Week In Rock", so if someone has both, I'd be very happy to give you the other copy of the video in trade. Email me privately if you would fall into either catagory. I'll probably wait until this weekend and post who agreed to spread the video around, rather than answer every email individually as they come. I hope this will let many who've never seen it, get an excellent copy if wanted, while leaving me time to continue life as I know it and prepare for other more important projects. To those who are bombarding me with email regarding the Jewelstock tapes, I'm hoping to update you all on the tape distribution fairly soon. We all know what the most dangerous weapon on the earth is ... (Sinjin back me up here)... THE FRISBEE That's right, what do people think of the idea of EDA frisbees? I have been talking to my printer about the possibility and he says they can do it. Do to printing limitations they would be cheap ones and probably only have one color (ink that is I could get different color frisbees). Do people think Jewel would have enough of a sense of humor about things to know that they were our little inside joke. I could get like fifty and hand them out to all the people going to Aug. 17th show. (It may be cost prohibitive to mail them out). I think it would be too cool if you could get Jewel to sign one. I may just do this with my own money for the novelty of it, but I want to know what people think. I was very happy with the way people responded to the design, I hope everyone liked them (or at least no one hated them). Unfortunately, I am going to have to charge $15 for the shirts now to help cover shipping and handling, all the time this is going to take, and recover from the large number of shirts I gave away to Jewel, Lenedra, Patty, the Bearsville people, etc. So here is the deal on ordering shirts. Send me an email with the subject "T-Shirt Order" in it give me your name, address, and the number/sizes of shirts that you would like (all sizes will be availible from s-xxxl). I will send you the address to send your check or money order, and confirm your order. I will take order until August 4th. My feeling is that if you weren't at least on the list when JS took place your won't be able to get a shirt. If people are happy with the JS shirts and trust me I will be willing to tackle the mailing lists shirts after I finish up with the JS ones.
