I've assisted Mr . Bossy Bossy a bit and the Chronology is now in HTML table format (with TV and Radio performances highlighted) and on the Pieces of Jewel website. (http:home.sprynet.com/sprynet/xenomorph/jewelmn.htm) I was letting Alan do the honors of the announcment but. . . well, he gave the job back to me. Even Jewel can't argue with Mr. BB :) Joking aside, we hope this will give us a way to receive more additions to the archive and we can also update more frequently without sending it (over 10k now) over the mailing list. So check it out, rack your brains for the first times you heard or saw Jewel and feel free to send any additions/corrections to ABershaw@aol.com and we'll keep it updated. In order to solve this horrifying problem, I hereby make a motion to generate a Jewel Nomadic Commune. In this manner each of us will give up (sell) our Earthly possessions and collaborate the profits to support the purchase of buses (and boats) in which all of us can follow Jewel together as a group. We will all survive communally, eating pb&j, selling Harris pins and Sinjinbees, clothed in blue ribbons and Jewelstock t-shirts. The First Comittee for the Jewel Nomadic Commune will convene at the NH show. All earthly possessions should be liquidated at that time. Representatives from Greyhound and Winnebego will meet us to discuss the purchases of used motorcoaches and/or motorhomes. Please bring all your blue ribbon. Thank you. =) Crunch ------------------------------ From: Steve Ito Date: Thu, 25 Jul 1996 01:42:26 -0400 Subject: Fourth Encore Crunch typed: >Thursday Show: THREE encores... > >Heh heh =) Three? I took a bunch of photos on Wednesday, the day before the show and have assembled them into a clickable gif map. Wherever you click, that's the view you get in full glorious color. So, this is my gift to those who didn't make it and it's the best I can do to recreate the area. It's on my website Pieces of Jewel under the Jewelstock Tour area. You can't miss it (unless you're color blind). I also have a few shots of wildlife from the area and am still getting film developed of my mountain climbing adventure for later. A fan-made boot done at the show came out "okay", but >there's a better copy (actually the best live Jewel boot I've ever heard) >floating around for a tree. It should be treed soon (I hope). Hey, guy with >the Boston tape, can we tree it soon? WBCN evidently aired the whole thing. Westwood aired a much edited version on its network stations, which is what I have. The BCN version was made off of the stereo mixing board. The Westwood version was a multi-track mixdown (better mix). I'm waiting to hear back from the person with the BCN tape, I will gladly combine that with the Westwood version to assemble what should be a great rendition of that show. There was a mention of someone on Atantic giving one of our listers a hard time about posting photos. Or was that actually just another Harris Brother gag? If not, then to the Atlantic lurker guy: Bear in mind that everyone on this list has bought Jewel's CD, will buy all her future CDs, and has attended as many Jewel shows as possible. We've been on here promoting her, probably fot longer than you've known about her. These are the kind of people who help you succeed, and we obviously respect, admire and support Jewel in every possible way. I'm sure your time would be better spent chasing down the real criminals who press bogus CDs in China, instead of hassling the harmless people here who want to trade their precious photos of their time at Jewelstock. Lurk if you want, or better yet join us and add to this list. But just remember, your business is ultimately not about lawyers and muscle. It's about the music that people like Jewel are creating for you, and I hope you'll remember that, and respect her as much as we do. I'm sure she's making lots of money for you and your company, so you won't be out much by allowing her to indulge in this little mailing list.
