I am excited to get to see her with a band behind her but I still want to hear some of her songs the way she used to play them. What do you guys think? I am going to the May 5 show so they will probablt still be learning how to play together, which should be kind of fun. No more "='s," no more clots of gibberish (depending on your opinions of my posts), just good old-fashioned Jewel adoration. All hail Eudora! Now, to more important stuff. If anyone has a large tract of free time and a copy of the Hutton interview and/or an extraordinary memory, I know I and possibly a few others would greatly appreciate a synopsis or a transcript of the interview. Taking a look at the tour dates/locations, I noticed the May 3rd venue for S.F. has changed from Bimbo's to the Great American (Music Hall, right?). Now, can under-21's get in yet? More importantly, can my car survive another trip to San Fran? When I went to see her, she was telling her dream for world peace which involved the woman from The Cranberries betting married to Kiano (sp?) Reeves. She then said, "Then everyone would join hands, Bob Dole and Pat Buchanan would drop dead, and world peace would prevail." I can't promise all of it's an exact quote but "Bob Dole and Pat Buchanan would drop dead" is a quote. I got the picture that she wasn't really serious though. Hi everyone, I'm new to the list and I hope you can help me out. I was at a record show today and got a tape of Jewel live from the radio. The problem is, there was no track listing for the show. Now, I know the album tracks but short of looking through every song's lyrics on a web page, I'm hoping somebody already knows what was sang at this show. The show was recorded in Chicago at the Vic Theater in August of 1995. It was broadcast on a Chiacgo radio station that was also broadcasting the show, which is about 30-40 minutes long. Also, there is one song during the show in swedish. Hopes that's enough info!!! Thanks for any info!!! Don't know how she got involved with Jewel, but Joy Eden Harrison is a singer songwriter from San Diego. I would imagine they met there. Last week I heard Cindy Lee Berryhill (who is also from San Diego) in concert at a local bar, and Joy Eden Harrison did a couple of songs before Cindy Lee played. I also spotted a cd by her at a used disc store this weekend, but wasn't moved to buy it. I enjoyed her performance, but I'm not that much into singer-songwriters. Jewel and Cindy Lee Berryhill are exceptions for me. (And if you're wondering about Cindy Lee Berryhill, she got a VERY strange voice and she sings songs that are like stories, very funny and cynical. My favourite of her 4 discs is _Garage Orchestra_ but she has a brand new one called _Straight Outta Marysville_ that I'm liking a lot, too. I really like _Who's Gonna Save the World_, too, her first disc but it's pretty hard to find. _Naked Movie Star_ is pretty forgettable, though.) - --Neile ------------------------------ From: Hiranya@aol.com Date: Mon, 15 Apr 1996 00:44:48 -0400 Subject: Re: Cigarretes Hiranya here, She doesnt smoke.
