Its free. She will sing 25 minutes. Also she will show people how easy it is to access a web site by going into the one Atlantic has on her. This is funny cuz Jewel has never even used a computer except to send us a note once! So they will first show her how to do it. She'll sign autographs too. Its at 6:30 on the 28Mar. Our computers have been down for a week and I had no idea that when I posted the DYLAN dates (silly me, wrong spelling, no fan obviously) that so much would come of it. The sad part is blasting people for their opinion. The dates with DYLAN are confirmed and stand as I gave them. In addition, she will do a show at Penn State: HUB Lawn/University Park, on Apr 20. Jewel will do a headliner tour in May--about the 3rd through the 26th. No dates are set yet. She will go out with a band for this tour. She will record her new CD in June and it will be released in late September. Those who are just catching Jewel on this big wave of airpower will think its really cool shes coming out with a new one soo soon and those of us who have been on to her since ages will think ABOUT TIME! Yea! I know there were 4 styles of t-shirts, but that's all she has right now. The following are in the works: a hat, angel poster, two stickers, a book of poetry, newsletter. All items will be available in the newsletter which all of you will receive if you gave your address to geoff warder at: gwarder@icis.on.ca Because so much is happening with Jewel, the small group of volunteers is pretty overloaded, but we're getting these out soon. ------------------------------ From: gregdunn@indy.net (Greg Dunn) Date: Sat, 23 Mar 1996 11:49:52 -0500 Subject: Re: DYlan, new CD, more >Jewel will do a headliner tour in May--about the 3rd through the 26th. Hi!! Jewl's on vh1 right now on the CrossRoad's Concert. She's sang WWSYS, Race Car Driver (!) and she's going to sing Chime Bells Ring. vh1 censored out the line "better than watching Star Trek after , and I'm gunna be..." Oh Well..they also censor the line "down on you" in You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette. Jewel's performance is great..she commented on the one person that knew WWSYS when she started the song. I thought the performance was so-so. I mean, I love seeing Jewel on TV, more exposure, more touring, more music. But she seemed tired (I'm sure she was after the plane fiasco's to get there) Love the hat!! So much for not being known as the girl who yodels with that song about the race car. I noticed it's being rebroadcast Sunday, but missed the time. Can anyone help? I assume someone taped it. Is anything ever going to happen with the video tree? It is a matter of personal belief, and while I don't happen to believe in it and many others share my views, may people do practice trading this way. If a person wants to trade that way, it is his right, correct or not, and nothing will come of discussing it further. Music is to be shared, and people should not want something for sharing it, but many do and we must accept that and refuse to trade with those people if they oppose our beliefs as individuals. Has anyone besides me noticed that Miss Jewel has her own philosophy of life? It's hard to put into words, but it's as if she just wants things to stay simple and sweet. As if she believes that life would be so much easier if it was. i don't know, that's just what i was thinking. i also had this thought, why does she sometimes (often) take the persona of a male when she sings? not so much on the POY but in concert footage. just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. duff e-mailed: from: tjtalken@aol.com ------------------------------ End of jewel-digest V1 #98 **************************
