Jewel is playing at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Mi (about an hour away), and I was planning on going. She's playing on a Wednesday, and I only have one (late) class on Thursday, so it would have worked out marvelously. I haven't been to a concert in 8 years (that was my first and only; it was Debbie Gibson), and this would have been my second. However, I called Ticket master today, and the show is sold out. It was at that moment I found out that my amazingly horrid day reached its pinnacle. Oh well. BTW, am I right to be upset about this?? Or have the rest of her shows sold out too? Some bad stuff, some good. I think this change is partially because of the following reason. During the first few months of this list, most of the members were adults - i.e. people over 20. And alot of these people were fans from the early days of Jewel's San Diego "Innerchange" period. Because of the average age of the members, the posts were all very well-thought-out, informative, "mature". Recently, a bunch of younger people signed on. I welcome them all. But, because they are slightly younger, alot of the posts changed, stylistically. This isn't bad, this is fine. But all of us original members must get used to it. I myself welcome ANYONE to this list, and have enjoyed many posts from these new members. But, we all should remember - don't post ANYTHING to this list unless it is well-thought-out, appropriate, friendly, and "mature" (whatever that means to you.) 2) I have an idea. Jewel has commented on how much she loves this list - she seems to like our loyalty, our maturity (i.e. avoiding rumors, avoiding flaming), our helpfulness, our respectfulness.
