Date: Thu, 2 Jan 1997 18:04:03 -0500 Hey Angels, Well the time is arriving. As of now, I have the following people attending. If anyone wants to attend, I suggest reading (T H E O L D) first. Bob Damis Tom O'Brien Pete Wang Anthony Amato Rachel Kramer Bussel Gerrit Kruidhof Jared Jacobus Katherine ============================================================================ T H E N E W: I guess you Angels need directions to my place. Well this is the deal. Basically I suggest you go to an online trip planner like Cyber Atlas. Here is the URL (http://www.delorme.com/cyberatlas/index.htm#ROUTER). Follow the directions. For a destination City, type Commack and State, NY. As for the directions to my house, there is a few changes that will be made (you will get here quicker when I send you the update). If we all use the planer above, it will be easier for me to just send out a general Email depending if you are coming from the East or West of Commack. For an update in directions, send me an E-mail with (RE:Directions) in the subject line. I'll then send you the directions with the adjustment and my phone number in case you want to contact me, have trouble or get lost. The next thing is that my School is about to upgrade it's system so my E-mail will be on and off on Monday. If this is the case, I'll mail you from my other account at Juno and you can contact me at (everydayangel@juno.com). If you want to be safe, I suggest CC'ing the message to my juno account and my school account at (btanoue@ic.sunysb.edu). Eventually I'll get your message and there shouldn't be many problems. BTW, I talked to Katherine and Jared and we came up with a cool idea. I'll tell you all about it when I get your (RE:Directions) Email. If anyone is willing to give an Angel a ride, write that in your Email. Also note how you will get here (ie. train, car, ferry, etc.) so I can make special arrangements. ============================================================================ T H E O L D: Here is the real deal. As is stated in the post below is the info about what is happening. As I have said before, this is open to anyone who wants to attend. I will try to repost the orginal message and the updates to catch anyone up who wants to come. As you all know, this is going to take place on Jan. 4, 1997 the first Saturday of the New Year. We will meet in Commack, NY(Long Island) which is about 1 hr East of Penn Station NYC. Since I do not want to post my number publically, if any one desires, you can drop me an E-Mail (PRIVIATELY)and I'll get back to you. I would like to see this become a some what semi annual event which can grow and evolve with time. As of now When I will recieve your replys, I'll send directions and the rest of the information that will be needed. I'm looking forward to meeting each of you and have a happy holidays. REMEMBER TO CONFIRM IF YOU ARE COMING, I NEED A REPLY!!!!!! I live near all the major Highways, Ferrys and Train Stations. We will give directions after we find out who is coming and for where one is leaving from. Today I was at the store where I usually buy sheet music (which shall remain anonymous for the moment) and, whaddayaknow, there's the POY Guitar/Vocal Edition, published by Warner Bros Music, sitting right there under "J". It had the complete guitar tabs and vocal parts of the 14 songs on POY. The first four pages had full page full color photos of Miss Kilcher. One little mistake I noticed in the book was that on the songs she co-wrote with Steve Poltz, it says "Words and music by Jewel Kilcher and Steve Polz." Anyway, I would have got it, except a) I'm not a serious enough guitar player to actually buy it for myself (If it were piano/vocal/guitar I would have bought it--does one exist?) and b) I didn't have $19.95 plus tax on me. I know at least one of you out there will want to know how to get this, so the FIRST person who SERIOUSLY WANTS TO BUY THIS to E-mail me will get info on how to get it from them. All others will be put on a waiting list or something. The reason is that the store is a small family-run business with some nice people working there and I don't want them to get flooded with phone calls. OK? The blurb next to the photo said: A LADY WITH SOUL Jewel's 1996 hit WWSYS is likely to be among the nominees for this year's Grammy awards. Jewel and several other women are expected to do well this year... Inside the section, it had a larger (3"x3") B&W of the photo. In fact, it was bigger than anyone else's photo: bigger than Celine Dion's (yeah!), bigger than Whitney Houston's (yeah!), even bigger than Vince Gill's (wow!), which is saying a lot in Nashville. The article mentioned her a couple of times, especially the following: "Jewel, who mixed WWSYS at two different Nashville studios (true?) could find herself in the running for song of the year, pop female vocal and best new artist." Then it mentions her as "also-possibilities" in the various categories. Oh yeah, and Jewelstock is mentioned as well. It is as follows... ---- Twenty-three-year old folk heroine Jewel admits that one of the hardest things about making her forthcoming album, to be released April 15, was being forced to pick 14 songs out of her repertoire of over 200. Of course she had to choose "Satellite" as the first single because of the "awesome" baseline played by her old friend, Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea. And how could she part with the live tracks from "Jewelstock," the free concert her Internet fan club persuaded her to give near the Bearsville recording studio in Woodstock, New York, last summer? There was, however, one easy decision for the singer. "There is absolutely no yodeling on the record," says Jewel. Born in the small town of Homer, Alaska, and now living in San Diego, JEWEL formerly resided in a car until her label deal hit. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter released her debut POY more than a year ago and only now is truly taking off. Credit Atlantic Records for real artist development; while the album did a very slow burn, JEWEL toured extensively, usually in small clubs. One detour last fall included the role of Dorothy in the Turner Broadcasting version of "Wizard of Oz," in which she held her own alongside the likes of Roger Daltrey, Jackson Browne and many others. The sold-out performance before a vocal, enthusiastic audience was a long time coming for this personable star-on-the-rise. Though supported by a three-man band for a portion of her set, JEWEL didn't necessarily need them, playing dynamic acoustic guitar, an engaging mix of waifish girl and cosmopolitan woman, her voice husky in the midrange, yet also reaching up high and clear. JEWEL's folky material traveled from the poignant to the comical, including the winsome "Morning Song," the spiritual and lovely "Angel Standing By," idealistic "I'm Sensitive," and her current alternative radio hit, "Who Will Save Your Soul," pulsing with a little reggae-ish beat. There were bluesy twists, jazz intonations and showtune-styled vocal acrobatics all blended within her performance, including high-speed yodeling for a final encore, while the new songs offered were further evidence this JEWEL is definitely a gem of a talent. ************************************************************************ From owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Fri Jan 17 08:47:21 1997 Return-Path: Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id IAA14696; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 08:47:21 -0500 Received: from ccshst09.cs.uoguelph.ca by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id IAA14690; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 08:47:12 -0500 Received: from ccshst01.cs.uoguelph.ca by ccshst09.cs.uoguelph.ca with ESMTP (1.40.112.3/16.2) id AA034918953; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 08:49:13 -0500 Received: from localhost by ccshst01 with SMTP (1.37.109.20/16.2) id AA133948788; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 08:46:28 -0500 Date: Fri, 17 Jan 1997 08:46:28 -0500 (EST) From: James McGarry X-Sender: jmcgarry@ccshst01 To: jewel-news@smoe.org Subject: Jewel News: 3/2/96 L.A.Times Review (fwd) Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Precedence: bulk X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "jewel-news-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. content-length: 1821 ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 16 Jan 1997 17:23:03 -0800 From: BOB To: jewel@smoe.org Subject: 3/2/96 L.A.Times Review Reprinted from the Los Angeles Times, March 2, 1996 by Jon Matsumoto: POP MUSIC REVIEW ---------------- JEWEL FINDS FOCUS AFTER FALSE START *********************************** On her debut album, POY, singer-songwriter JEWEL challenges listeners with darkly shaded acoustic material that is lyrically complex and compassionately executed in a melancholy sort of way. Even the few musically buoyant tunes are laced with a bittersweet flavor. So it came as a surprise when Jewel bounded onto the stage at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano on Wednesday with the pep and good humor of a college student heading off to spring break. When she kicked off her solo, acoustic set with POY it was clear that the effervescent JEWEL wasn't really connecting with the song's disturbing theme of intolerance and hatred. In fact, she interrupted the number several times to inject inappropriate but humerous observations, including a brief impression of how the Cranberries' Dolores O'Riordan might sing the song. But within the context of her entire show, Jewel's carefree reading of one of her most potent tunes was forgivable, and may have made her seem more likeable. Soon after, she gained focus and proceeded to transfix her adoring audience. Like Richie Lee Jonoes, Jewel is capable of conveying a wide range of emotions, from girlish vulnerability to steely toughness. By the time the Alaska native closed out the regular portion of her set with a grin-inducing yodeling song (she started yodeling with her singer-songwriter parents when she was 6), JEWEL could do no wrong. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ From owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Fri Jan 17 09:04:47 1997 Return-Path: Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id JAA14886; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 09:04:47 -0500 Received: from ccshst09.cs.uoguelph.ca by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id JAA14882; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 09:04:41 -0500 Received: from ccshst01.cs.uoguelph.ca by ccshst09.cs.uoguelph.ca with ESMTP (1.40.112.3/16.2) id AA042650005; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 09:06:45 -0500 Received: from localhost by ccshst01 with SMTP (1.37.109.20/16.2) id AA175159840; Fri, 17 Jan 1997 09:04:00 -0500 Date: Fri, 17 Jan 1997 09:04:00 -0500 (EST) From: James McGarry X-Sender: jmcgarry@ccshst01 To: jewel-news@smoe.org Subject: Jewel News: JC: Late Night Musical Guests, Jewel on Dave & Tom (fwd) Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Precedence: bulk X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "jewel-news-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. content-length: 1997 ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 16 Jan 1997 23:25:49 -0700 (MST) From: Chopped Liver To: Ye darn gay elves Subject: JC: Late Night Musical Guests, Jewel on Dave & Tom Ok, Tom Snyder's web site finally mentions Jewel appearance. Take pop singer Jewel, for instance. The 22-year-old Grammy nominee had declined an invitation to perform at the Presidential Arkansas Inaugural Ball in Washington on Monday. But then President Clinton called and asked her to sing. "The President called our house because I wasn't going to do it," said the blonde-haired siren who was recently nominated for a Grammy award for Best New Artist. "We missed the call of all things, but I heard this message and said 'Oh my God!"' This weekend, the singer was rehearsing in Los Angeles with an all-star band formed for the Arkansas Inaugural ball, one of several galas celebrating the beginning of the president's second term. "It's so bizarre. I think it will hit me when I get there," Jewel said after running through her soulful hit single "Who Will Save Your Soul" in the studio late Friday. Jewel, pianist George Duke, Michael McDonald, banjo player Bela Fleck and several others spanning all genres such as R&B, jazz and pop played into the wee hours of Saturday. Others joining in at the ball in Washington on Monday include pianist Bruce Hornsby, Sheryl Crow, and possibly the president himself, according to David Pack, musical director who assembled the band. Pack served in the same capacity at Clinton's "hometown" ball in 1993 and managed to coax him on stage to jam with the band on saxophone in an impromptu performance of "Your Mama Don't Dance." "After one moment of doubt, he said okay and then he got up and asked us what key we were playing in. I was impressed," Pack said. Pack said the White House has not given any word on whether President Clinton will play again at this year's Arkansas ball, but he said Crow has a song "up her sleeve" if he decides to join in. "There's a distinct difference between an inaugural crowd and any other crowd you'll play," Pack said. "In the back of everybody's minds, they're all there waiting for the moment when the President arrives. "When he finally arrives, there is this amazing roar and everybody goes crazy. Our job is to whip everybody in a frenzy before the president gets there and keep the energy up after he's left," said Pack. "All the balls are special, but we try to make his a highpoint because this is hometown ball." Cc: ABershaw@aol.com, danstark@MNSi.Net, HarrisBros@aol.com, Truthseecr@aol.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" content-length: 5507 Howdy fellow Jewel fans, This letter is a call to recruit "branches" for TWO Jewel tape trees that will run concurrently, using the same branches for both trees! It is NOT for the signing up for leaves or their orders. That will happen later after the branches are set up, likely in about two weeks. The first tape is a very high quality re-master of the Jewel concert from the Paradise Club in Boston on May 18, 1996. I realize more than a few of you already have a 'version' of this tape but believe me, this re-master is a 'must have'. Dan Stark, who did the re-mastering said, "I'm absolutely thrilled with the way it worked out! I'm pretty much a perfectionist when it comes to this sort of thing, so you know if I'm bouncing off walls it sounds pretty good. :)" The second tape is the one we had the "Name The Tape" contest for. (Jeweltide Carols was the winning entry) It consists of the Jewel sets from two holiday multi-artist fests that Jewel was a part of in early December. While the sets are identical, the very high quality (and full stereo), plus the 'extras' make it a very desirable tape to have. The extras include: Jewel and Lenedra (her mother) belting out "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" and the walk-on Jewel did with the Wallflowers to sing "6th Avenue Heartache". The set lists for both of these tapes are in a companion post (sent with this one) with the subject: "Jewel Tape Trees - Set lists for the Holiday Tape & Boston Tape". (Hopefully it's in the same digest as this post) Please note these tapes are available only in audio cassette format. DATs, mini-disc and/or VHS Hi-Fi dubs will not be available. For those of you who are new and have no idea what a tape tree, branch and leaf are, here goes. The basic structure for a tape tree that it is a co-operative effort among many subscribers to this list. It is to spread the music of Jewel, at no cost, other than to supply your own blank tapes and pay for the return postage. It is done in the spirit that if you can, just maybe you can return the favor someday. If not, so be it. This "tree" will start with 2 "seeds", who will each make copies for the "branches", who supply their own tapes plus return postage. The branches are recruited by the tree administrator (in this case me). This tree will utilize 16 branches. After the branches are set up, the administrator will then post to the list for "leaves". (This will happen in about two weeks) The leaves then Email him/her with the requested information, and they are then assigned to a branch. The leaves then send blank tapes, plus return postage to the assigned branch, who then makes copies for the leaves. In addition to what was mentioned above, branches must agree to do and/or have the following: 1) Possess at least one decent quality dual recorder capable of normal speed dubbing, OR two decent quality single cassette decks. (We want our branches to have quality equipment, no boom boxes please) 2) Agree to make your master(s) at least a High Grade/High Bias chrome audio cassette. Most of you who have worked with me before know I like to push Maxell XLIIS. 3) Agree to dub in real time/normal speed. There are other basics for branches that are normal for these sort of things. I will Email them privately to accepted branches. Also, branch applicants please note. We are expecting up to 200 leaf requests, as this list is now much bigger than when the last tree was run. This may perhaps mean up to 12 leaves for you to make copies for. Since this is two trees at once, you may be making up to 24 tapes. More branches may be employed if necessary. So, if you have the desire to be a branch for these trees, Email me. In the SUBJECT of the Email, PLEASE put: branch-your last name, your first name Then fill out the other necessary info in the body of the Email (explained below) and send it to me here at ducksoup@spectra.net example: branch-barrymore,drew branch-clinton,bill Now, all who wish to volunteer, please cross this line. __________________________________________________________ In your Email to me, I'll need your: 1) FULL name 2) Email address 3) Alternate Email address(es) if you have any 4) Postal address 5) Brief description of your TAPING equipment you plan on dubbing with. Just your deck(s), I don't need to know about your receiver etc. Include brand, 2 single bay decks or dual deck, approx cost new, age etc. 6) Any time you will be away in the next 6 weeks and likely unavailable for branch duty during that time. 7) for the guys: Ginger or Mary-Ann? for the gals: Ross or Chandler? 8) anything else at all you want to say REMEMBER....please put: branch-last name, first name in the subject of your Email to me! If you are selected as a branch, you will be notified by me. Please give me up to ten days to respond (it should take less, I just wanna give some "just in case" leeway). If you are NOT selected as a branch, you will also be notified by me AND you will be automatically entered in as a leaf and will not have to Email me a leaf request when the "leaf call" goes up. If you have ANY questions, comments or feedback, please feel free to Email me privately. Also, please remember that everyone involved with this project is volunteering their time and equipment, so please be patient. Thanx in advance to all who will volunteer to be branches!! Alan, Dan & I look forward to working with the volunteers. your fellow EDA, Mike From owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Mon Jan 20 22:20:29 1997 Return-Path: Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29729; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:20:28 -0500 Date: Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:20:28 -0500 From: owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Message-Id: <199701210320.WAA29729@jane.smoe.org> Received: from relay1.shore.net (root@relay1.shore.net [192.233.85.129]) by dns.eng.auburn.edu (8.7.6/8.6.4) with ESMTP id VAA19939 for ; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 21:15:16 -0600 (CST) Received: from jane.smoe.org (majordom@smoe.org [204.167.97.154]) by relay1.shore.net (8.8.3/8.8.3) with SMTP id WAA12482 for ; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:14 -0500 (EST) Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29619; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:48 -0500 To: owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Subject: Jewel News: BOUNCE jewel-news@smoe.org: Approval required: X-Lines: 114 Sender: owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Precedence: bulk X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "jewel-news-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. content-length: 3106 >From ducksoup@spectra.net Mon Jan 20 22:15:08 1997 Return-Path: Received: from relay7.UU.NET by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29587; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:06 -0500 Received: from spectra.net by relay7.UU.NET with ESMTP (peer crosschecked as: blue.spectra.net [204.177.130.1]) id QQbzjw12946; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:13:20 -0500 (EST) Received: from ducksoup.spectra.net (pm148-131.spectra.net [204.177.131.148]) by spectra.net (8.6.12/8.6.9) with SMTP id WAA07011; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:06:42 -0500 Message-Id: <3.0.32.19970120221332.006a103c@spectra.net> X-Sender: ducksoup@spectra.net X-Mailer: Windows Eudora Pro Version 3.0 (32) Date: Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:13:44 -0500 To: jewel@smoe.org, jewel-news@smoe.org From: Mike Connell Subject: Jewel Tape Trees - Set lists for the Holiday Tape & Boston Tape Cc: abershaw@aol.com, danstark@mnsi.net, truthseecr@aol.com, harrisbros@aol.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" content-length: 2070 Hey EDAs, Below are the set lists for the two tapes that Dan, Alan & I will be now 'treeing'. Alan, Dan & I look forward to working with the volunteers. your fellow EDA, Mike From owner-jewel-news@smoe.org Mon Jan 20 22:53:03 1997 Return-Path: Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA00270; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:53:03 -0500 Date: Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:53:03 -0500 Message-Id: <199701210353.WAA00270@jane.smoe.org> Received: from relay1.shore.net (root@relay1.shore.net [192.233.85.129]) by dns.eng.auburn.edu (8.7.6/8.6.4) with ESMTP id VAA20167 for ; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 21:25:04 -0600 (CST) Received: from jane.smoe.org (daemon@smoe.org [204.167.97.154]) by relay1.shore.net (8.8.3/8.8.3) with SMTP id WAA13953; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:23:27 -0500 (EST) Received: from localhost by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29787; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:22:15 -0500 Received: by jane.smoe.org (bulk_mailer v1.5); Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:51 -0500 Received: by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29599; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:27 -0500 Received: from relay7.UU.NET by jane.smoe.org (SMI-8.6/SMI-SVR4) id WAA29587; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:15:06 -0500 Received: from spectra.net by relay7.UU.NET with ESMTP (peer crosschecked as: blue.spectra.net [204.177.130.1]) id QQbzjw12946; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:13:20 -0500 (EST) Received: from ducksoup.spectra.net (pm148-131.spectra.net [204.177.131.148]) by spectra.net (8.6.12/8.6.9) with SMTP id WAA07011; Mon, 20 Jan 1997 22:06:42 -0500 X-Sender: ducksoup@spectra.net X-Mailer: Windows Eudora Pro Version 3.0 (32) To: jewel@smoe.org, jewel-news@smoe.org From: Mike Connell Subject: Jewel News: Jewel Tape Trees - Set lists for the Holiday Tape & Boston Tape Cc: abershaw@aol.com, danstark@mnsi.net, truthseecr@aol.com, harrisbros@aol.com Mime-Version: 1.0 X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "jewel-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. Information on how to apply to be a 'branch' for these tapes is available in the companion post "TWO Jewel Tape Trees to now start - Dubbing volunteers needed!!" The 'leaf call' will be forthcoming in about two weeks. Like I said in the main post on these two trees, the Boston tape is the same show that many of you may already have, but believe me this re-master is far superior and is a 'must have'. Were it not for Jewel's Duets with Melissa, I would have gone much longer without discovering her music! Thanks VH1... The Story from Mercury Mail: Several rock stars are trying to prevent the nation's largest cable operator from dropping the VH1 cable music channel from its Denver network. Don Henley, John Mellencamp, Jewel and Tony Rich have agreed to participate in a press conference Wednesday in Denver to help classic-rock radio station KRFX-FM protest TCI's dumping of VH1. TCI, which is based in Englewood, Colo., has encountered much backlash against its recent policy of dropping established networks from its cable systems and replacing them with newer services. Mike _______________________________________________ Flea Discusses Working With Jewel Jan. 22 [16:00 EST] -- With the Red Hot Chili Peppers still about three months away from starting work on a new album, bassist Flea has been busy with other projects. The frenetic bass player took an acting role in an upcoming Coen brothers movie, and a guest shot playing bass on the next album by Jewel. Flea says he met Jewel five years ago in San Diego, where she was living out of her van and performing in local coffee houses. Apparently, he was feeling under the weather one day, and went out in search of a remedy. "I was feeling really terrible, and all of a sudden I see this girl that was just so beautiful. And I was like, ah, oasis!," Flea told MTV News. "I just went and started talking to her and we became friends, and at the time she was living in her car, and she said to me, 'Let me play you a few songs on my guitar.' And I thought oh no. Ya' know when someone says they're going to play you some songs, the first thing I think about is running in terror. But, she did it and it was just so incredibly beautiful. And, it turns out later she had a hit song and became a big star, and that's really cool." In fact, Jewel is nominated for a Grammy award this year for best new artist. The folkster is pitted against Garbage, No Doubt, the Tony Rich Project, and Lee Ann Rimes for the award. The Grammy Awards will be distributed in New York City on February 28. This is all I know until I hear from their office. They've been incredibly busy lately. I will immediately post any info I get. I promise. So please hold off on tour date emails. It's been a good day of Jewel TV. The Week In Rock, The RAINN Promo Spot & The Snyder Show. Tommorrow, Jewel is hosting a 4 hour special called "Woman First" on VH1. Also very late tommorrow night she'll be included in VH1's "American Music Awards Nominee Special"(I think at 1:00AM on Sunday actually). And then the Awards themselves will be on Monday Night on CBS. Thats a recap of all I'm aware of at the moment. Hope to know much more in the next week or so. It's possible there may be 2 shows or a second night added there, as well. I should have info on 30+ shows in a few days. Also, I think its likely The Palace Theater in New Haven, CT on Febuary 23rd. For now, here's all I've been told about so far: 97/02/20 Chapin Hall,Mt. Holyoke,South Hadley,MA 97/02/21 The Orpheum,Boston,MA 97/02/22 The Strand Theater,Providence,RI (Unconfirmed! Possible 2nd night at The Orpheum) 97/02/23 (The Palace?),New Haven,CT (I'm taking an educated guess on The Palace. 2500 seater) 97/02/24 off-pre Grammys 97/02/25 off-pre Grammys 97/02/26 Grammy Awards,Madison Square Garden,NYC 97/02/28 Colby Gym,Colby College,Waterville,ME 97/03/02 Beacon Theater,NYC (possibly 2 shows or a second night added) Thats everything I know at the moment. Do not be surprised if some area ticket places are still unaware of these shows. You are getting some of this info before they do. I will continue to do my best to keep you all updated until Hiranya makes her very welcome return.
