I've already gone on at much length about the levels and layers of synchronicity involved with both "Feather in the Flame" and "Across the Great Divide," offlist. Here's the whole set -- Dharma Cafe River of Fallen Stars Feather in the Flame Half a Million Miles 9th Street Billy Gypsy Rose Nature Boy Rhapsody in Blue Beethoven's 5th Breathe Matty Groves Across the Great Divide Fortune Teller Road Namaste Sun Burns Gold Thing with Feathers Midnight Ghost Stand Raining in My Heart Words of Love 8 Days a Week Pete & Maura do so many fascinating song intros -- stories, insights, and recollections that almost never make it into any of these reviews. There were several interesting song intros I'd never heard before. One was Pete's story of how he met Joni Mitchell. After Pete related that, Maura said she had a Joni Mitchell story too for later, but unfortunately she never got back to that. There were iconic representations of figures of Far Eastern spirituality all around P&M in the living room where they spoke, sang, and played. It was a groovy vibe that seemingly suited the Kennedys to a "t," reminding me very much of when I saw Nerissa & Katryna Nields at a similarly groovy place of spiritual enlightenment, the Kripalu Center in West Stockbridge.
