God only knows. Then we'd be rid of the annual "Got Kennedys" sturm-und-drang of wresting the attention of the FRFFpower-that-be. "Good Vibrations." That's what FRFF means to me. That's also what the Kennedys mean to me. A good thing, a positive outlook, music that makes everything else so worthwhile, good vibrations, good friends, good times. My own case for the Kennedys at FRFF every year is that they're funny and kind, they're Easy People, they have maybe the best guitarist ever to play the festival, they are the absolute best workshop hosts ever (Bob Dylan, Beatles Forever, Guitar Gods and Goddesses), they have great songs, they have great fans. They come in many shades, hues, and colors -- the rainbow coalition of the Ke nnedys proper, the folk-rock supergroup the Strangelings, the old-timey and roots group the Stringbusters, maybe the best kids group the Snacks, and the jaw-dropping artistry, passion, and excitement of Pete Kennedy solo and Maura Kennedy solo. No one else I know can touch this peacock's fan of fantasticness. This Jangle-Poets forum seemed the ideal place to get this word out. If enough people write and email Anne Saunders, as was the case last year when the Kennedys looked like a lost cause already for FRFF '08, it might not be too late for this year either. I think Anne really listens to what people have to say. And the Strangelings were one of the highlights of FRFF. If you the Jangle-Poets, like I, would like to see any version of the Kennedys at this year's FRFF, tell Anne Saunders so. Tell your friends. Tell her what the Kennedys at FRFF mean to you. When TK played the Gospel Wakeup Call a couple of years ago, they had the whole Mainstage area on its feet and moving and grooving along to "Stand." TK and FRFF -- together again?
