Despite my following them closely for 8 years now, the Kennedys continue to surprise and amaze even me. Who was it who wrote "Road's my middle name"? They're like a finely tuned machine. "Welcome, my son, to the Machine!" (Pink Floyd) "Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends!" (ELP) In contrast to the angst and the doomed unseaworthiness of the "Boat From Hell" in Pete's new song "The Devil's Boat," TK have a well-honed roadworthiness that can roam with the best of them, in a kind of absolute exhilaration for the road, "Positively Live" in every way, both literally and figuratively, a metaphorical pleasure boat bound for glory, tuned to vibes from beyond, "Dance with the Angels" (Lisa Loeb), the dizzy dancing way I feel every chance I get to see them. More to come.
