If this concerned an artist like Dar I would understand better, since she has a fan base that paddles the behinds of both the Nields and the Kennedys. This actually concerns artists who are regular bandmates of the Kennedys in the Strangelings. A more egregious overstepping has undoubtedly occurred in the shameless promotion of the Kennedys (among others) on the Nook. On the Nook, a simple compromise was achieved -- the ascription of "NNC" to posts of allegedly "Non-Nields Content." Although I've never sworn an oath of allegiance to that protocol myself. The Nields Nook has historically been a more free-wheeling and off-topic list than the Jangle-Poets, though. It only took one person on the Nook complaining about the yearly absorption of the list in FRFF chatter to make a difference there, although Falcon Ridge has never entirely disappeared from discussions on the Nields list. I've enjoyed my liberty, along with the liberties I've taken, but your annoyance is noted.
