Broaden your improvisational and composing skills with this exploration of alternative scales that are easy to learn highly effective in adding variety and color to your music. Jamming with others is the quickest way to get comfortable with modal playing, so there'll be lots of group interaction. Requirement: for intermediate players who are comfortable fingering a major scale on the fretboard. This day-long seminar will include two intensive 3-hour sessions, with a break to explore the cafes and shoppes of beautiful downtown Northampton, MA. Tuition is $120 for the full day.
