GFP is up! i t looks like we have a GFP site. the big canopy is up, and we have areas blocked off. it is in what the pdf site map on the FR site calls the 10 acre site, just to the left of the main stage (amphitheater) area - the top part. you will see a road running thru the middle of the 10 acre site, which is a small hill. we have set up the canopy above that road up against the woods and have blocked oof areas to the sides of the canopy and along the treeline separating the 10 acre site from the upper and lower ledge sites. you can walk straight into the amphitheater thru a gad inthe treeline between the 10 acre site and the amphitheater. if you look straight up from the parking lot, you can see the big green caopy at the top of the small hill. we will also try to put up signs. the road did not appear to go all the way up to the top of the upper pasture, and it dif not appear to be flat there like the old site. so we did not set up there. the sun comes up into your face at every tree line - from over the hill across the road. so there is no morning shade, although the treeline on the left of our site may affordd some shade. the only place that might have provided morning shade was the very thin treeline right behind the amphitheater in the lower pasture, but the good spots there were taken, and the open stops have very tough and high stubble. we were worried that we might not have access to water, but jen called and said they were putting a water tank right on our ridge. in fact, they asked jen to move at first, then they said they could put it off to the right. let's hope it stays that way and we do not have to move. there is a lot of confusion there right now....no designated areas....yet....and the volunteers are filling up space and it may not be possible anymore to designate quiet and all night, although some people are guessing that the 15 acre site may be quiet camping., so - we have the large green canopy in place plus a smaller open green canopy and have some areas blocked off. tj Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 16 Jul 2006 17:16:21 EDT From: Rozettj@aol.com Subject: [JP] typo you can walk straight into the amphitheater thru a gap in the treeline between the 10 acre site and the amphitheater. no gad Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V8 #45 *********************************
