This issue has made me curious for the past several years. I remember the year TK weren't on the bill, but came with their vintage clothing booth and were invited on all stages by their performing friends. They were on the bill the following year. I've heard TK say nothing could keep them from FRFF, that it's their tribe. Yes, the greatest part of life has little to do with business and making money, and yet I wonder if somehow, someone in the FRFF organization consciously excludes TK from the bill on occasion, knowing they will be there regardless? One observation about FRFF is that many of the same acts appear there year after year. Some rotate every several years. This is true of many festivals -- not a criticism, just an observation. It's also true of festivals that if a well-known performer is in attendance, friends will invite them to the stage. Part of the fun of festivals is seeing these performers interact -- often these are people you would rarely see together. The festival format is perfect for reunions, with short sets and chances for individual performances. I have wondered, for example, why some festival organizer doesn't invite all three members of Cry Cry Cry separately hoping to spark a momentary C3 reunion. If I ran things, this would be on my "to do" list. Sorry to say I won't be attending FRFF this year -- other obligations. Hope everyone who goes has fun at the new site, that you have good weather. I'll be watching for reports here. And Jeff, I , too, can't imagine FRFF without TK. If anyone is taking bets, I would put my money on you seeing them there. - -- Jay Passe, Jeff wrote: >Dear Kennedys fans, > >As we approach Falcon Ridge time, I noticed a blank space in the >Kennedy's schedule.
