I told her that I enjoy the artists so much I feel an obligation to support live music. She told me "I understand that, but sometimes it seems like you're doing it single-handedly." Well, so be it. :) Having almost literally OD'd on the Nields for eleven straight years, let me say that I can relate, Theresa! Thanks for the great reviews! :-) The most excessive-ever Nields week for me was in October '98, when I saw TN Tuesday night in NJ (Ramapo College), Thursday night at the Bottom Line in NYC (late show only, and I had to be at work at 8AM in CT the next day), Friday night in Clifton Park NY (north of Albany), then 2 Iron Horse shows Saturday and one more Iron Horse show on Sunday. 6 Nields shows in 6 days! But I was only listening, TN had to play all those shows, as well as pack and unpack the trailer with all of their stuff. Talk about brutal. I almost fell asleep on the drive home from the Clifton Park show, Friday night. :-| There is an illustration of a very good reason, I might add, as to why the 5-piece Nields band eventually broke up. :-) Kennedys content: TK have sometimes had brutal schedule gyrations as well, and those Half a Million Miles really do add up in time. I used to think (erroneously as it turned out) that the Nields band would "take a licking to keep on ticking" literally forever, as in the overly optimistic email name "nieldsforever @ aol.com." But we should be all the more thankful then that Pete and Maura have kept the act together and keep on doing as the road warriors d/b/a The Kennedys! :-) Bruce Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Nov 2005 14:35:07 EST From: Nieldsforever@aol.com Subject: Re: [JP] Judge Kennedys In a message dated 11/10/2005 8:15:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, FrankHartge@wideopenwest.com writes: And we will have to find you GUILTY, Gordon, of depriving us of the music!
