But I have yet to hear the new CD, so I can't join in on this thread. Yet. Wait! New Kennedys CD? But I haven't worn out Stand, yet! Oh, yeah. . . I haven't worn out Stand because I haven't worn out Get It Right, yet. At least I think Positively Live finally peaked about six months ago. . . Something about hanging out in a hotel lobby to hear a live pedal harp, then going home and putting on Positively Live - repeatedly over the space of several successive Wednesdays - finally brought out the last little ecstatic nuances of Positively Live for me. Especially on the evenings when the harpist played Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. :) Musical bliss. Ken Looking forward to hearing a harp tomorrow evening. But maybe some Kennedys this evening. . . I must've been confusing you with that other Down Under guy, DjP. Since you've confessed already to the Unforgiveable Sin (of not yet having the new CD), let me tell you that it's got great songs with catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics. And there are some really sweet pix of Pete and Maura on the jacket and innersleeve. Maybe we can use the Vulcan Mind Meld and grok some Kennedys good vibes your way. :-) Bruce wondering all day yesterday how many "f"s were really in Ken's last name, because I wouldn't want to "stiff" such a nice guy :-) Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Aug 2005 14:20:59 EDT From: Nieldsforever@aol.com Subject: Re: [JP] Favorite song? I'm reminded of Cadence's "Evolve" with its idea about evolving to a place of love. I'm working on an idea I call "The Divine Humanity," which sort of meets the 2 ways of looking at it halfway. But I must admit that the Kennedys' "Namaste" idea of acknowledging the divine in everyone I meet has influenced my own idea for "The Divine Humanity." Cadence's "place of love" is pretty much the same thing. Cadence and the Kennedys are "working on a groovy thing," and I'm happy to have been influenced by such kindred Pilgrim souls.
