First of all, Congratulations to Bob and Sheila on their "eve of the festival" wedding! Yay for Bob, Yay for Sheila, and Y4Y! :-) And second of all, and last but not least, Thanks to John Rozett, a/k/a Trapper John DOM (Dirty Old Man), for organizing the GFP at FRFF once again, and for being the main liaison, our "main man," between TK, Cadence, Friction Farm, and some of the other musicians, and our FR campsite of Nields and Kennedys yahoos! Ya-Hoo!!! :-) 4:30 Cadence Carroll Drum Workshop I'd have to say this was a tremendous success, with maybe 15-20 participants. Yay Cady!!! :-) 5:20 Friction Farm The folk duo squeezed in 2 songs while the Kennedys were arriving and getting ready. AFAIK this was an unscheduled appearance. 5:40 The Kennedys Rappahannock (for Larry) 9th Street Billy (w/ Cadence) I Found a Road (new key) Gypsy Rose Never Learn (for DjP) (w/ Cadence) Namaste Galveston (for Frank) Time Ain't Long Here & Now River of Fallen Stars (shouted-out request of unknown origin) (encore) Stand (w/ Cadence and Friction Farm) Cadence probably played on more songs than that, I was just following my notes. No notes, no reviews with accurate set list. Pete's inspirational "sermonettes" during song intros were amazing, as they were during the whole festival. Honest to God Pete, you oughtta write a *book*! Rhyming with "kook," the way Ringo says "book" in the movie "Hard Day's Night"! :-) I'd buy it. :-) After TK's set, Pete and Maura stayed for dinner and chatted for a spell. Maura even did a Buddhist Tarot Deck reading for Bernadette. It was groovy beyond words having TK up to the GFP for the second year in a row. I *heart* the Kennedys!!! :-) Bruce Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V7 #45 *********************************
