In response to Theresa's posting, here's further info on the first anniversary of our folk radio show: Saturday, April 16th, 2005, marks the first anniversary of The Dharma Cafe, hosted by The Kennedys, on SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Folktown 38. It was just about a year ago that Folktown Program Director Meg Griffin suggested that we share our favorite music and tales from a decade on the road with the Folktown audience, in an intimate virtual coffee house setting. Fifty-two shows later, our mix of the best of the new songwriters, with a healthy dose of classics and deep traditional roots, is the soundtrack for Saturday morning espresso for a dedicated and growing cafe audience around the nation. To mark the anniversary, we've invited some very special guests to join us in the cafe, including Meg Griffin, Tracy Grammer, Cadence Carroll, and Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams. Other special guests will be dropping by, including The Bottom Line visionary, Alan Pepper, and Jim Musselman, the progressive label exec from socially conscious Appleseed Records. This mix of music and conversation will be like a triple shot version of The Kennedys' premium Dharma Cafe blend. Don't miss it, Saturday, April 16, 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Eastern time, on Folktown 38.
