The pleasure of hearing Pete & Maura perform "When I Go" is a treat every time. I've mentioned before the eerie resemblance between TK's "Fortune Teller Road" and Dave Carter's "The Mountain." TK used to perform a wonderfully joyful rendition of "Happytown" too. And I've been lucky enough to see TK with Tracy Grammer a couple of times too. TK and Dave Carter's music is a match made in heaven. It must've been fate that brought them together. Kate Wolf. Pete & Maura playing "Across the Great Divide" 4/01 at the Sounding Board was the clincher for me when I started following TK during Katryna's maternity leave of absence. Besides Cone Head, I didn't know anyone else who loved Kate Wolf's music. Seeing TK do Kate Wolf was a real revelation to me. They played it again last night. Nerissa Nields. Well duh! TK seem to embody the "Easy People" ethos as well as anyone, maybe even better than TN do. This song might just as well have been written especially for Pete & Maura. They didn't play it last night though. They were really good. P&M joined them onstage for their last song, "Wichita" by Gillian Welch, and they joined TK onstage to help out on "Across the Great Divide." Nashville Clippers also did a beautiful rendition of "Orphan Girl," which TN used to cover. Stephen & Peter both came with me to the show, which happened to be the 15th anniversary of the Rose Garden Coffeehouse. Everyone who attended received long stem roses in honor of the anniversary. Speaking of anniversaries, TK said they're going to Vegas next month to renew their wedding vows in the Elvis chapel in honor of their 10th wedding anniversary. Yay for TK, Yay for their 10 year anniversary, and Y4Y!!! :-) Bruce Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V6 #33 *********************************
