Cadence had won the Rose Garden Coffeehouse's new songwriter contest last May, and as winner of the contest got this opportunity to be heard by more people. Here's hoping Cadence will be getting even more opportunities to play MA in the future. If MA folk fans are anything like the folks at the Rose Garden, they will be glad she came. In the contest of the Tortoise and the Hare, the Tortoise said, "Slow and steady wins the race." :-) Little Bit of Green Harvard Square Aurora Last Leviathan Have Faith *NEW SONG We're All Made of Rain The Journey Evolve (encore) The Losing Game (Cosy Sheridan) Cadence had co-written the brand new song with Sloan Wainwright only last weekend at a songwriting workshop. I didn't find out the name of the song, unfortunately. Hopefully we'll be hearing it again. I'd seen Lorraine and Bennett Hammond somewhere before, but I can't remember where. Lorraine plays dulcimer, Irish harp, and banjo beautifully, and Bennett is a crackerjack hand on guitar, both on accompanying their 2-part vocals and on guitar solos. I look forward to going to the same venue in Mansfield April 17 to see the Kennedys.
