The first half of the show was an in-the-round arrangement, kicked off by P&M, followed by Nanci, Le Ann Etheridge (Nanci's bass/guitarist from the Blue Moon Orchestra) and Julie Gold: A Common Bond (P&M) Mary Margaret (Nanci) Half a World Away (Le Ann) Goodnight New York (Julie) Anna and the Magic Gown (P&M) Traveling Through This Part of You (Nanci) Ted & Sylvia (Le Ann) Mountain of Sorrow (a Julie world premiere) Stand (P&M) You Always Stood Me Still (Nanci) I Wasted Too Much Time Along the Way (Le Ann) >From a Distance (Julie) Of course, there was plenty of harmonizing all over the stage, and Pete usually could be seen playing along with whomever was up. The second set was Nanci's, with Le Ann and husband Pat McInerney, the founder of the BMO on drums), but it only took a couple of songs before Pete showed up, and then another one or two before Maura joined them. I didn't keep track of the songs during this set, but they included most of my favorites, including You Still Got the Radio, Pearl's Eye View, Flyer, and It's a Hard Life. The show ender was If I Had a Hammer, with Livingston Taylor making a surprise appearance on stage as well. It was the first time I'd ever seen P&M with Nanci, aside from a song or two at the Birchmere, and it was a definite treat, as well as an enormously good cause. Now, it's time to turn into a pumpkin....... Peace, Sheila who thinks she desperately needs a blue Taylor 714ce just like Nanci's Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V5 #85 *********************************
