So, here's the story. Reply online so that people will know what others are bringing. Also, I need a head count for Wednesday night spaghetti dinner. So let me know if you are coming, and how many. Propane: I think I have enough propane for cooking, lighting, and the shower. Bob has offered to bring more, and a few more can't hurt. For those of you not up to speed, we will have a heated, pumped shower in addition to the solar water bags. Paper Plates, napkins, utensils: I have 250 large paper plates and 100 bowls. Some medium sized plates would be helpful. Dinner Food: I will bring he spaghetti, sauce, parmesan cheese and portobellos for however many people are coming wednesday night. rebecca is bringing salad, salad dressing, and bread. deb will bring the fresh jersey corn. i think deb is also bring tomatoes, which will be good for the burgers later. Jeong will make his korean beef and bar-b-q chicken thursday night. What we will need is a cooperative effort to have something for the vegetarians. That would be helpful. Friday, we will have burgers. I will bring about 50 meat burgers and rolls. We need volunteers to bring veggie burgers. I will have rolls for however many veggie burgers we have. Don't go over 50 in number. If you want to bring 4, 10, whatever, let the nook know and we will stop at 50. Saturday is chile night. I will bring meat chile. nichole has volunteered to bring veggie chile for 20-25. Sunday - whatever is left over and whatever people might bring. We always need deserts and other side dishes....Jonie - are you coming? Hint - - your bean salad was very good 2 years ago. Any other suggestions are welcome. Breakfasts: As usual I will bring pancake mix, syrup, blueberries (Jamie insists on blueberry pancakes), and some sausage (veggie and meat). We usually run short of the sausage, and if a couple of people could volunteer to bring a package of either, we should be fine. maybe 2 of each. also, (I am running into space problems), it usually seems i need about 2 more of the pancake mix than i bring. So TWO of the aunt jemima frozen pancake mix will help. I also may bring a dozen eggs for the hell of it. I have an espresso coffeemaker. If anyone wants some and likes cram and sugar....bring your own. If you bring tea bags, we can make hot water. Beverages: Alcoholic - I have a 1.75 liter bottle of tequila and april has promised to bring a bottle. that should be fine for the margaritas. I will have triple sec and lime juice. I will also have a gallon of 120 proof vodka and a case of tonic. Other mixer for the vodka is needed. Rhiannon promises to share the vodka with the rest of us. Beer - We need beer. We need beer. We need beer. Shannon - Yuengling again? Water - I have a case of bottle water we will keep cold. Soft drinks - last year i brought a case of diet 7 - up and diet coke. Especially important because we do have kids coming to dinner. Would 2 people volunteer to bring a case? I will have an ice chest for it...a collapsible one I can squeeze in. Firewood: We will have a portable fireplace this year. I have a few "fake" logs, as does Bob. Come is bringing a trunkfull of real wood. A few more of the "fake" logs will probably help. Lanterns, Stoves, etc. We can always use more camp lanterns.....propane, white gas, whatever. if you have a camp stove, one more wouldn't hurt. I have a small camping canopy. Anyone else bringing a canopy? I will also have 3 or 4 chairs, but more folding chairs will help. I have 2 folding tables and a picnic table. One more folding table would be useful. That's all I can think of right now. Orange juice....I will have some, but a couple more would be welcome. (This is a breakfast request....apart from what you might bring to make screwdrivers). I am sort of ideosyncratic, and I don't drink alcohol OR soft drinks. If anyone else finds themselves in the same boat, in the past years, we've had a container of powdered lemonade which works nicely (and it can be both mixed with water or mixed with rum, so it's good for everyone). I'll try to bring something, but if other people think of it, they should bring lemonade or iced tea too. Or even juice, if anyone's feeling inspired. And whoever brought the hazelnut chocolate cigars two years ago should bring those again, because they are delicious and I miss them. Dammit, now I'm hungry.
