Hi again, everyone...and apologies to those of you on both lists.... I just wanted to make you all aware of a trip that I'm planning for the summer, and invite anyone who would like to join in. With CHA Educational Tours, out of Philadelphia, I'm in the process of putting together an eighteen day trip through England, France and Spain. Although some of my high school students and fellow faculty will be attending, it's not actually a school trip, and anyone is eligible (and welcome!)to go. We would be leaving the last week of June, and returning mid-July, in plenty of time for Falcon Ridge. (a requirement, of course!) Official dates won't happen until I get a final number of interested people. The cost for the trip is $3002 for anyone under 22, and $3452 for anyone 22 (even if you turn 22 on the trip) and over. This price covers airfare, hotels, breakfast and dinner every day, all planned tours and on-tour travel, our tour guide and applicable taxes and fees. The deposit to hold a space is $495, and CHA will then send you a statement informing you of when your remaining payments are due. We will be departing from JFK in New York, and it would be your responsibility to either get yourself to the airport, or get yourself to my school building (I have limited crash space at my apartment, and we have a fairly cheap hotel nearby, too) , where a charter bus will be taking us from Jim Thorpe, PA to JFK. The bus will also be available to return us to Jim Thorpe from the airport upon our return. If anyone is interested or would like more info, please contact me off-list at either shammie@ptd.net or sclouser@jtasd.k12.pa.us, and I will send you the enrollment information. Thanks for your time, and I hope that some of you can join us!!!!
