Yay for Grog! I was definitely due for some more musical magic, even though I've had some every weekend so far this month. And it was great sharing such wonder with Rebecca, her folks, and her cute friend Mike, also attending were Jeff, Paul & Katie, Cone & Katrina, and Katrina's sister Julia, Gene Shay and Co., and Mel & Lisa. I think it may have sold out, or just about. Full house. Gandalf: Circus Of Dreams Sunday In The Rain The Yodel Song Better Life Genius Never Fit They refused to come back out for an encore. Such consummate professionals. That was Joziah and Sharkey playing, since (presumably) Tink and Tony couldn't fit on the stage. :-) Those 2 guys still sounded pretty great, even without their better half. I cried during every Gandalf song. They just do that to me. Or maybe I'm pms-ing. They rock. The Kennedys: Life Is Large Didn't It Rain? Chelsea Embankment Angels Ride Wall Of Death Half of Us River Of Falling Stars Can't Kill Hope With A Gun <"we'd like to dedicate this song to the memory of JFK"> He Was A Friend of Mine Get It Right Pick You Up Pearl's Eye View Sheerwater Down, Down, Down Happy Town When I Go Sirens Life Is Large - reprise *encore w/ Gandalf (except tony) AND Gene Shay* She Loves You TK really packed in the tunes, just like they did the last time I saw them w/Gandalf. Maybe they're showing off! It worked. I can't wait to see them again next week! Woo Hoo! Pete was wearing the coolest shirt and Maura has the niftiest new set of glasses! She was telling me about her old frames which broke and had to be secured with duct tape. Of course, I was glad to hear I wasn't the only one with duct tape on her glasses. OK Jangleurs! C U in the Weeks a-Head! I hope everyone is as well as can be. Safe travels and irish breakfasts for all. - -bern "...I ain't seen no halo yet..." - TK Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ End of jangle-poets-digest V4 #137 **********************************
