I have most of his music on vinyl, but did recently get "Healing" on CD, which is a wonderful work. Following Todd and his music for the last 25 years has been an incredible journey. I feel I'm at the beginning of a similar journey with Pete & Maura; I can only imagine what kind of art they'll be producing down the road. Actually, I'm not sure I can imagine it, I only know I want to be there when it happens. HERE, here, Don! Although I'm still a member of the Todd 'clique' I have a brand new enthusiasm for Pete and Maura and can envision me following them for a long, long time. I've turned two of my Todd friends into Kennedys fans and I'm simply thrilled that I was able to share their music with some of my closest music pals. I have to say that I have always loved and appreciated Todd's "politics" and his individualistic manner of approaching his music and the music business. He's innovative and spiritual at the same time. I see the Kennedys much the same way. I really like their "message" and love how they incorporate old-time sensibility and contemporary ethics into their music. Looking forward to a Love Train conga line in my future! All aboard! :-) While Nero fiddles, while Rome burns, and while the rest of the whole world goes to heck in a handbasket --- I will look for an oasis of sanity in the Kennedys, among my fellow Kennedys fans, and in this online Love Train conga line called Jangle-Poets! :-) Already on the Love Train, Bruce PS - Visions of Kennedys wearing bell-bottoms and shaking their booties on Don Cornelius' "Soul Train" ! :-) Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Sep 2002 20:15:30 -0400 From: Jay Votel Subject: Re: [JP] Jammin' Java 09/20/2002 Thanks for posting this Don.
