If you seriously think what happened on September 11 is some sort of lie and there is no proof, I'll be glad to have some of my FDNY friends who spent 8 months digging for the bits and pieces of people to take you on a guided tour of the WTC. What happened is real and not something for you to make jokes about. Don, Not that I've been to too many east coast venues, but Andy's is one of my favorites. Relaxed, friendly, great comfy sofas (I had a reasonably long drive that day) and more than great sound. I had the good fortune to see TK there, so if you get the chance, then go for it! Talking of driving, I drove from Andy's to DC that night in the rain (whats up with all the rain?), got back to DC at 3am and got up to fly to the left coast at 6am. Tired, but happy... kinda describes most of my life. One, is to welcome all the newcomers I met over the past week (and there were a lot of you)! Thanks for signing onto the mailing list - I hope to see you all sometime soon. If you ever would like to be removed, please just reply and let me know. Two, is to announce a June gig that I didn't know about when I sent out the June Newsletter and to ask you to mark your calendars for my rescheduled Towne Crier gig in July. And three,......you ready for this???................. I just found out I was chosen to participate in the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist's Showcase. Yay! ! 25 acts are chosen to perform 2 songs on Friday afternoon. Then, the audience votes to determine which (aprox) 3 will return the following year and have a spot on the mainstage. This is my favorite folk festival in the area and if you haven't been there yet, I encourage you to take the weekend off, get dirty camping, and listening to and playing music with the rest of us! I hope you can make it - you won't be disappointed. All info available at www.falconridgefolk.com. Upcoming gigs...
