I wrote up a list of what to bring, and it turned out somewhat longer than I expected when I started. After writing it up and posting to nields-nook, I got a lot of feedback, incorporated that, and posted to some other lists. Again the next year, and the next... After updating and reposting the text three years in a row, I made it into a web site in the spring of 2000, and have been updating that ever since: http://cos.polyamory.org/frfflist.html This message is being posted to: nields nook, alt.music.moxy-fruvous, edheads, dar-list, ecto, suspects, falcon-ridge, the hollow If you know of any other mailing lists that this posting would be appropriate for, let me know. I thought "oh goody," but assumed it would be something from the live album (Marilyn tends to favor the "Orange Blossom Special" medley). Instead, to my surprise, she played "Nickeltown" off the NEW CD!!!! This totally made my day, and it's so nice to have a new song stuck inside my head. The song sounds SO good on the radio. Yay for the upcoming CD (and book), a happy belated birthday to Rhiannon (who turned 21 on Sunday) and a happy first birthday to Amelia Nields Chalfant!! I don't know if this is common knowlwdge or not, but I'd like to share with you (so you can share with others) the fact that a song off the new Kennedys CD is available for downloading right here: http://mp3.washingtonpost.com/bands/the_kennedys.shtml It's "Didn't It Rain," and it sounds really great -- definitely different than I've heard it live (you must check out the wild intro...) So, for anybody itching for a taste of something new, this is a great apetizer! Now I can't wait to hear the rest of the new CD! Hope to see you at another show soon...
