January 5th, I saw them for the second time. It's been too long! Right now, I'm listening to Positively Live and thinking that *everyone* should get to see TK in concert at least once a month. It's just good for the soul, the spirit, the nerves, the digestion, and whatever else may be ailing you at the moment. :) As much as I like their other CDs, it took a long time for Positively Live to grow on me, though I kept it in the CD player almost continuously from June to January and it ended up being my favorite CD for 2001. But it's only now that I can finally say that it is my favorite Kennedys CD. It just warms me up. And that's the other thing about a Kennedys concert: Not only is it *fun*, but the music is so warm. As I said - good for what ails you. And, if you've been feeling fine already - as I was on December 22nd - then it's going to make you feel even better. Ken I guess I should post this to other lists. Here, I'm just preaching to the choir. :) [demime 0.97c removed an attachment of type application/ms-tnef which had a name of winmail.dat] Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Mar 2002 17:57:08 -0800 (PST) From: Katie Stohlmann Subject: Re: [JP] Kennedys Positively Live I wish I could see the Kennedys live. It's sad to go for long stretches with no Kennedys concerts. Here in Ohio, we last saw them in September 2000! But, I'm planning to make the trek north to the great state of Michigan to see them in Lansing, on April 4. Any other members of this list going to be there? This "demime" thing was on the end of the post that I just sent to Jangle Poets when I received the forward back from JP. I definitely sent my post as "Plain Text". On the other hand, I've just started using Outlook 2002, and maybe it's doing something weird. If there is something I should fix to avoid causing problems for you and/or other list managers, please let me know. I found this article, but my eyes glazed over after a few words. It explains what it is and what you can do about it, if you're so compelled. http://support.dataviz.com/support.srch?docid=1309&pid=58 As far as this list, SMOE has a handy dandy demimer that automatically strips this stuff out for us, without requiring me expend any effort. So, don't worry about inconveniencing me with it, 'cause I'm totally unaffected!! As far as TKs go -- I have not seen them since November, and won't see them again until April. This is grossly unfair (though not as unfair as it is for Katie in CA). More Kennedys content: I FINALLY got to hear "Get It Right" and am in love with that song. As far as Libby goes -- check out her website (http://www.LibbyWiebel.com)!! I am SO PROUD of Libby. She's my hero AND she rocks. Random raving: If you don't already have it, PLEASE go and acquire Nerissa and Katryna Nields' new "Love and China." This is a stunning album, and I'm proud of them too! Fifty-three days 'til the Birchmere. NOT that I'm counting mind you -- Cosette is.
