Sheila informed: >Rumor has it that P&M's song, "Never Learn" closed out the latest episode of >Showtime's "Resurrection Boulevard" yesterday. How cool is THAT? Just >thought I'd let people know in case the show ever reruns. Never Learn is my favourite Kennedys song ever. It's just too good. One of my fondest music-related experiences was P&M (along with backing from Andy and Denise) singing this after I requested it at Andy's on my Kennedy's hattrick weekend with Cone nearly a year ago. If you ever get the chance to go to a show with Cone, go. It's a great experience. DjP learning. slowly. Listen, Ken and other Jangleurs, it must be made clear that I only bought this CD to hear the recorded Pearl's Eye View (I like TK's version much more), and was entirely skeptical of nanci's stardom. But in spite of my resistance, I keep playing it front to back and loving it. Besides the moments Ken mentioned ("I Lost Him in the Sun" is a dead ringer for "I'll Meet You In The Sky"), high points for me are the title track , which I LOVE, Traveling through..., Midnight in Missoula, Truly Something Fine, Armstrong, actually, all the songs strike me quite deeply. To me the CD is a package. I was glad I stopped playing Pearl's Eye on Repeat, b/c the songs really flow into each other. Long before Sheila started quoting Nanci, I decided she wasn't worth hearing. I'm glad I caved to Pearl's allure. Nanci is way cool.
