Welcome to The Kennedys' E-Newsletter for February 2002!
Happy Valentine's Day
IN THIS ISSUE:
1) Next studio CD set for May 7 release!
2) Kennedys take on the big apple!
3) Kennedys win annual Kate Wolf award!
3) Touring schedule, including a southern swing
1) Our next CD, entitled Get It Right is slated for May 7 release date. This
will be our first ever enhanced CD. We've included photos, a flash movie, a
music video, lyrics, liner notes hot links and more.
2) We love New York as much as Ryan Adams, so we rented a little sublet
apartment in the heart of Greenwich Village and we'll call this neighborhood
home for the next few months. How does this relate to our music? Well, we've
been writing more songs than ever. It must be the bohemian mojo that's
hanging in the air, the same air that Dylan breathed when he wrote Mr.
Tamborine Man....hope he left some for us.
3) We would humbly like to thank all the kind folks at the World Folk Music
Association for honoring us last month with their annual Kate Wolf award. It
means so much to both of us, and it has extra special meaning for Pete, as he
was a friend and accompanist to Kate before she died of leukemia in the late
80s. We'll do our best to live up to the standard Kate set both musically and
otherwise.
