Anyone have a report? Sure, why not? Twas a really good jangley show. Because of the intimacy of the venue, they took lots and lots of requests, so a great variety of songs surfaced. I finally got to hear Why Winoma Why and Get it Right (which was dedicated to Nerissa Nields). After the latter, they segwayed into Easy People, which was absolutely perfect. There was also a song about Thoreau (Just like Henry David...). I didn't see anyone that I knew there (with the exception of the Sicas, who run Uptown Concerts and so were there of course), but nonetheless the crowd seemed really receptive. (Also, selfishly, it made it easier to talk to Pete and Maura, seeing as they weren't completely swarmed with pushier fans or people they actually knew.) I also took one of my best friends to the concert for her birthday, and she said it was one of her best birthdays ever. Yay! One last highlight: As Pete left the stage, he said "Yea for yea!" Yay for happy references that prolly no one else catches! :) ~Rebecca Tiptoeing through the tulips, renaming the moons of Jupiter, and carving a stone of hope from a mountain of despair _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Jan 2002 19:01:16 EST From: Chat3023@aol.com Subject: [JP] performance questions I called the Reston-Herndon Folk Club for tickets to the Kennedy's performance on 26 March. Someone took my number but I am still waiting for a call. Should I do anything else? Will I see any of you there?
