Number One? "Positively Live!" by The Kennedys. Yay! It even beat out Kasey Chambers' "Barricades & Brickwalls", and that's saying a lot, especially since I really think that B&B *should* make Kasey a star in the US when it's released here early this year. Since I will get to vote on NanciNet for B&B again in 2002 because of its US release date, could it be that "Get It Right" (or is that "Finally Get It Right"?) will keep it out of the Number One spot again? Or will "Love and China" blow everybody away this year? Ahhh, yes. Something to look forward to! :) Ken Check out the Kennedys' Official Home Page: http://www.KennedysMusic.com/ Fab photos, the Official tour diary, dashboard Buddha haiku, groovy merchandise...what more could you ask for? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 03 Jan 2002 19:56:45 -0500 From: bern Subject: [JP] pointing fingers alright, who's going to this sat's Point show in Bryn Mawr? In the end, I wasn't able to make it to Starland, and wanted to see them again soon. When it became certain that I wouldn't get to the NYE show, I looked at the schedule, and didn't think I'd be up for a trip to Bryn Mawr so soon (40,000 miles on my car from June 19th to the end of the year and did well till the unplanned drive from Columbus, OH to Virginia Beach and back the weekend of the 15th - suddenly I'm a bit burnt out), and I already have tickets for something else on the 12th (Both :) and Yay! and :) again), and it looked like Sykesville would be the only (rather slim) hope of seeing them for the foreseeable future. Probably would have waited a few days and looked at the schedule again and Byrn Mawr would have passed and Sykesville would have been the only hope. But now I've ordered tickets for The Point so all is well. I'm psyched. (No pun intended - I'll save that for the 23rd if I get tickets for that show.)
